The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced the confirmation of the first Ebola case in the United States in a person who traveled from West Africa.
In a press conference , CDC Director Tom Frieden spoke about the case and reiterated that while Ebola is a highly destructive disease, it’s not a highly contagious one. “I have no doubt,” Dr. Frieden said, “that we will control this case of Ebola, so that it does not spread widely in this country.”
Dr. Frieden also updated the President Barack Obama yesterday afternoon on the case. The President and Dr. Frieden spoke about the isolation protocols and the ongoing efforts to trace the patient’s contacts to mitigate the risk of additional cases.

बागपत रोड स्थित विद्या नाॅलेज पार्क में राष्ट्रीय स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान दिवस के अवसर पर आज रोटरी क्लब के सहयोग से रक्तदान शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन एसडीएम सदर श्री रवीश गुप्ता ने किया।संस्थान के निदेशक सौरभ जैन ने गमला भेंट कर उनका स्वागत किया
इस अवसर पर विद्या नाॅलेज पार्क से सम्बद्ध विभिन्न संस्थाओं के विद्यार्थियों+शिक्षकों +स्टाफ ने इच्छा से रक्तदान किया।
पूरे दिन चले इस कार्यक्रम में 110 यूनिट रक्त एकत्रित किया गया।

जिससे कम से कम 12 यात्रियों की मौत हो गयी तथा 45 अन्य जख्मी हो गये।
प्रधानमंत्री श्री मोदी ने कृषक एक्सप्रेस और बरौनी एक्सप्रेस के बीच हुई टक्कर में मरने वालों और गंभीर रूप से घायल लोगों के परिजनों के प्रति संवेदना व्यक्त की है। प्रधानमंत्री ने दुर्घटना में मरने वाले प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के निकट संबंधी को प्रधानमंत्री राष्ट्रीय राहत कोष से 2-2 लाख रूपये और गंभीर रूप से घायल प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को 50-50 हजार रूपये की अनुग्रह राशि देने की घोषणा की।

Jet Airways (India) Limited has proudly announced that airline, has received approval from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) for its appointment of Cramer Ball as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer.
The 47 year old Australian national is a certified accountant and an accomplished airline executive with almost two decades of domestic, regional and international aviation experience, including roles at Etihad Airways, Gulf Air and Qantas.
Mr Ball was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (Designate) of Jet Airways (India) Limited in June 2014 and will lead an extensive three-year business plan to reshape the airline and secure its long-term future.
Commenting on Mr. Ball’s appointment and subsequent approval by the Government as CEO, Mr. Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways said, “We need a dynamic chief executive with in depth knowledge of and experience in the airline industry to lead us through the next phase of our development, which encompasses a bold three year business plan to return to profitability.

Inaugurating the event, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral RK Dhowan commended the dedication and professionalism of DAD personnel in providing prudent financial advice and adding in the management of the Defence Budget.
On this occasion, Admiral Dhowan, presented the “Raksha Mantri Awards for Excellence” to DAD employees selected for their outstanding contributions during 2013-2014.
The team of PCDA (Pensions), Allahabad headed by Shri S. Murali Krishnan from the office of CGDA and Shri C.B Yadav, from PCDA (Pensions) was conferred the award for e-initiatives in the area of Pension Sanction and e-scrolls based pension accounting.
