Large number of people having income to buy cars are outside the tax bracket.
India has just 24.4 lakh tax payers who declared an annual income of over Rs 10 lakh yet 25 lakh new cars, including 35,000 luxury cars, are being bought every year for last five years,
A nation of over 125 crore people had only 3.65 crore individuals filing their tax returns in the assessment year 2014-15

whereas 5.5 lakh people only paid income tax of more than Rs 5 lakh
1.5 % of those filing tax returns (3.65 crore) are contributing to 57 % of tax kitty
.”Car sales on an average in last five years has been about 25 lakh per year.
In the last three years the car sales were 25.03 lakh, 26 lakh and 27 lakh,”
As per income tax data only 48,417 persons reporting income of more than Rs 1 crore in a year.
Yet luxury brands like BMW, Jaguar, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche and Maserati sell almost 35,000 cars every year.
5.32 lakh were with income of less than Rs 2 lakh per annum, and so not within the tax bracket.
24.4 lakh filers declared their annual income of being more than Rs 10 lakh and there were 1.47 lakh tax fillers who had an income of over Rs 50 lakhs in a year.
Also during the 2014-15 Assessment Year, there were 1.61 crore people whose tax deducted at source (TDS) were deducted but they did not file income tax return (ITR)
India’s tax revenue as a percentage of its GDP was 16.7 per cent in 2016, compared with 25.4 per cent in the United States and 30.3 per cent in Japan.

टूरिस्ट पैराडाइस गोवा के दाबोलिम हवाई अड्डे पर आज तड़के मुंबई जाने वाला जेट एयरवेज का एक विमान उड़ान भरने से पहले अचानक रनवे पर झटके से मुड़ गया।
विमान में ७ क्रू समेत 161 लोग सवार थे जिनमें से 15 यात्रियों को चोटें आई हैं।
घटना सुबह करीब पांच बजे हुई। फ्लाइट 9डब्ल्यू 2374 दुबई से यहां पहुंची और उसे मुंबई के लिए रवाना होना था। विमान टेकऑफ करते समय अचानक ही रनवे पर फिसल गया।इसके फलस्वरूप हवाई अड्डे से उड़ान १२ बजे तक के लिए स्थगित रखी गई
इसके आलावा आई जी आई एयरपोर्ट पर एक अन्य घटना क्रम में इंडिगो और स्पाइस जेट के प्लेन आमने सामने आ गए और टकराते टकराते बचे |इंडिगो की फ्लाइट में १७६ यात्री सवार थे सभी सुरक्षित बताये जा रहे हैं |

In a series of tweets, Swaraj said, “Our Ambassador in Norway is meeting the Norwegian authorities today regarding Aryan. I refuse to accept that foster parents can take better care of the child than the natural parents.
“The foster parents are totally ignorant of the Indian culture and our food habits. We want restoration of Aryan to his natural parents.”
Indian national Gurvinderjit Kaur and her husband, who is a Norwegian national, have alleged that authorities in that country have taken away their son, also a Norwegian national, on a frivolous complaint of abuse.
Kaur had also written to the Ministry seeking help in getting back her son, who has been taken away by the Norway Child Welfare Services.
This is the third case since 2011 when children have been taken away from their Indian-origin parents by the authorities in Norway on the grounds of abuse.
In 2011, a three-year-old and a one-year-old were separated from their parents, prompting the then UPA government to take up the issue with Norway.
The Norwegian court later allowed the children to be reunited with their parents.
In December 2012, an Indian couple was jailed on charges of ill treatment of their children, 7 and 2 years. Later, they were sent to their grandparents in Hyderabad

· As per Dy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar ,The interrogation revealed that the Kingpin of the gang is from Madangir (name not being disclosed as he is still at large). They used to roam on the roads in a group of four to six persons (usually on two or three motor cycles) in search of suitable prey. They include juveniles in the group to lift the bag from the car. After identification, one of the tea musually targets the victim vehicle near a traffic signal for making efforts toget the car stopped on the side of the road.
Sometimes, one or two members of the group even start helping the victim to keep him busy. In the mean time one of the juvenile opens the gate of the car and takes away the bag/purse etc. Aftercommission of crime, they gather at a designated place for distribution of booty.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said a lower level of taxation that is globally compatible is necessary if the country has to have a broader base of economy.
He said gone are the days of the philosophy that high taxation will bring greater revenues and that since 1991 the course of economy has altered itself.
Jaitley said while inaugurating the professional training of IRS officers.
FM said competition is not merely domestic but global and therefore in the last two-and-a-half decades, governments have been guided by these principles.
Tracing the behaviour of people in the last 70 years, the Finance Minister said there has been an impression if avoidance could be done of government revenue, there is nothing “improper or immoral” about it.
This was, he said, considered to be “commercial smartness” and of course some people were visited with very serious consequences.
He told the young revenue service officers that in coming future decades they should see that voluntary tax compliance has to increase in India.
“And the mindset of the tax payer (should be) that payment of legitimate taxes is a responsibility and then it should be reciprocated by you with a confidence in the tax payer. The tax payer is to be trusted, except when it’s proven otherwise.
And therefore only in those select cases, very objectively selected, you go in for a wider audit or a wider scrutiny itself,” Jaitley said

Deputy CM Manish Sisodia inaugurated eight public libraries
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today inaugurated eight public libraries constructed under Swaraj Fund in the Karawal Nagar assembly constituency in north east Delhi.
These libraries have been put together with the help of Citizen Local Area Development (C-LAD) or Swaraj fund. People chose them as priority projects in Mohalla Sabhas conducted in various assembly constituencies.
Karwal Nagar MLA and Water Minister Kapil Mishra was also present on the occasion.
Delhi Government claims to have conducted over 400 Mohalla Sabha meetings in 11 constituencies to ask, tabulate and execute works that the citizens wanted and needed in their community.
“To execute this, Delhi Government has piloted the Swaraj Fund, under which all development works would be proposed and awarded by Mohalla Sabhas, for which Rs 350 crore was allocated in 2015-16,”

Haryana government today connected 100 villages with Wi-Fi services and decided to rename all common service centres (CSCs) opened in urban and rural areas as well as E-disha centres as “Atal Seva Kendras” at district headquarters.
This was announced by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while launching 53 new IT services pertaining to six departments on “Good Governance Day”.
He also conducted a draw of the digital transaction award scheme meant to promote cashless transactions in the state.
65 winners were awarded five prizes of Rs 10,000 each,
10 prizes of Rs 5,000 each and
50 prizes of Rs 1,000 each for proactively transacting cashless.
With the introduction of new IT facilities, citizens would get 170 e-services through “Atal Seva Kendras” in the state.
Khattar said students passing Class X and XII from Haryana School Education Board would get certificates through digital locker.
He also launched “Knowledge Warehouse” set up in Gurgaon to promote start-ups through video-conference.
Addressing deputy commissioners through video-conference, the chief minister directed them to ensure installation of rate lists of various services being provided at CSCs.
He also extended greetings to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birthday. While interacting with media persons, the chief minister described Vajpayee as a highly regarded and widely respected leader
