जिले के पुरकाजी शहर में उपहार लेने को लेकर ट्रांसजेंडरों के दो समूहों के बीच हुई झड़प में तीन ट्रांसजेंडर घायल हो गए।
पुलिस ने बताया कि कल शाम झड़प के दौरान घायल हुए तीन ट्रांसजेंडर को अस्पताल ले जाया गया।
पुलिस ने बताया कि घटना उस वक्त हुई जब ट्रांसजेंडर के एक समूह ने इस क्षेत्र में अन्य ट्रांसजेंडर समूह द्वारा लोगों से उपहार लेने पर आपत्ति जताई

केंद्र के हाउसिंग एंड अर्बन अफेयर के मंत्रालय की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार एक लाख से अधिक की आबादी वाले ४८५ शहरों में स्वच्छ सर्वेक्षण कराया गया था|इनमे से पंजाब के १७ शहरों को शामिल किया गया|दुर्भाग्य से इनमे से एक शहर भी टॉप १०० में स्थान प्राप्त नहीं कर सका|
लुधियाना को १३७ रैंकिंग दी गई है
अमृतसर ने २०८ रैंकिंग हासिल की
जबकि जालंधर को २१५ पर संतोष करना पढ़ा है |बेशक ये रैंकिंग पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में बढ़ी है लेकिन स्मार्ट सिटी प्रोजेक्ट में आने के बावजूद टॉप १०० में भी स्थान ना पाने के कारण प्रदेश में कांग्रेस और केंद्र में भाजपा की सरकार की कार्यप्राणाली पर प्रश्न चिन्ह लगाने स्वाभाविक ही है

Opposition party Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today lashed out at the Congress government for its alleged failure to end the menace of illegal mining in Punjab.
SAD MP and party’s senior leader Prem Singh Chandumajra said the environment and people of Punjab were under a “big threat”due to the “illegal mining in the state”.
As per rules digging cannot go beyond the 10 feet limit as it could harm the balance of ecology. But 30-40 feet deep ditches at the mining sites are seen across Punjab.
The SAD leader said it has started to take toll on everything — from fertile land and bridges to people’s houses.
The Lok Sabha MP from Anandpur Sahib said soil erosion had become a major problem, besides bridge collapses and cracking of house walls in the areas where illegal mining was “rampant”.
“Rupnagar and Mohali districts are the biggest sufferers as the consequences of illegal mining are being faced by them on a large-scale with incidents of bridge collapse and damages to houses have been increasing sharply,” he added.
Law Maker said “If the Congress government fails to contain illegal mining activities in next few days, we will approach the Union environment minister and ask him to intervene in safeguarding the interests of the state and the people,”

1947 में बढ़ी संख्या में मुस्लिम परिवार अपनी उपजाऊ जमीनों+मूलयवान सम्पत्ति को भारत सरकार के भरोसे छोड़ कर पाकिस्तान जाने को मजबूर हुए|उनकी उस सम्पत्ति को भारत में आ रहे हिन्दू शरणार्थियों को अलॉट किया गया लेकिन दुर्भाग्यवश आज तक उन जमीनों+सम्पत्ति का लेखा जोखा नही है| केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय से लेकर पंजाब हरियाणा और यूपी की सरकारें इस दिशा में बचती फिर रही है |तमाम सरकारें इसकी जांच भी करवाने को तैयार नही है |२००५ में पंजाब में बाकायदा एक्ट जारी करके रेफुजियों के सारे हक़ जब्त कर लिए गए,जिसके फलस्वरूप ओल्ड लैंड रिकॉर्ड कार्यालयों से लेकर उच्च अदालतों में भी हजारों केस अपनी तारीखों के लिए जूतियां रगड़ रहे हैं|पीएमओ भी महज पोस्ट ऑफिस की भूमिका निभाने में व्यस्त है |तीन साल से इसके ग्रीवांस सेल्ल के पोर्टल पर कोई प्रगति अपलोड नहीं की जा रही है|पंजाब के मुख्य सचिव के पोर्टल का भी कमोबेश यही हाल है|१९८४ के पीड़ितों को मुआवजे के लिए बंद पढ़े कानून की कतबों को खुलवाने के लिए वर्तमान पंजाब सरकार पूरा जोर लगा रही है लेकिन २००५ के एक्ट को खुलवाने के लिए उसमे कोई रूचि नहीं है |
मेरे अनुभव के अनुसार ये जमीन बढ़ी संख्या में भारत आने वाले हिंदुओं को महज कागजों में ही अलॉट की गई |अधिकांश को केंसिल दिखा कर टरका दिया गया| केंसिल की गई जमीनों का पुनः अलॉटमेंट की कोई सूचना देने को तैयार नहीं है| व्यक्तिगत प्रयासों से ज्ञात हुआ है के पटवारियों के खातों में अभी भी ऐसी भूमि पढ़ी हुई है| जिन पर अवैध कब्जे कराये गए हैं|इसी से स्वाभाविक शक पैदा होता है के बढ़ी मात्रा में बंदरबांट की गई है |
इसी के मध्यनजर क्यूँ ना पंजाब और हरियाणा के साथ यूपी में भी 1947 की जमीनों की जांच हो जाये

Yoga events held across Punjab on International Yoga Day
A series of yoga events were held across Punjab today on the occasion of fourth International Yoga Day.
A state level yoga event was organised at a sports complex in Mohali which saw participation from around 3,000 yoga enthusiasts including senior citizens, government officials, sportspersons and students, officials said.

[New Delhi] Maneka Performs Prenatal Yoga For Pregnant Women
Union Minister Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi today performed prenatal yoga asanas along with pregnant women and asked them to practice the ancient Indian fitness regime under trained professionals.
The Union Women and Child Development Minister, on International Yoga Day at the Natural Childbirth Centre
performed several prenatal yoga asanas, including the modified version of the Tikonasana, Paschimmottasana and Ashwa Sanchalam, under the guidance of a teacher.
The asanas have been modified according to the changes in the body of a pregnant women, said Nutan Pandit, founder of Natural Childbirth Centre.
The minister said, “Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promoted yoga, the number of teachers have increased, but there will be 1,50,000 wellness centres across the country so we need at least 1,50,000 teachers, physiotherapists in the country.”
The United Nations General Assembly in December 2014 had declared that June 21 would be observed as International Day for Yoga (IDY) every year, a move for which India had lobbied hard.
The centrepiece of the first IDY celebration on June 21, 2015, was New Delhi’s Rajpath, with the event making it to the Guinness World Records with 35,985 participants performing asanas at one venue and 84 nationalities being part of it.

Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has said that Marijuana will be legal nationwide in the country starting October 17
The Senate gave final passage to the bill to legalise cannabis on Tuesday, legislation that will make Canada only the second country in the world to make pot legal across the country.
Trudeau said provincial and territorial governments need the time to prepare for retail sales.
The prime minister said at a news conference that the goal is to take a significant part of the market share away from organized crime.
Canada is following the lead of Uruguay in allowing a nationwide, legal marijuana market, although each Canadian province is working up its own rules for pot sales. The federal government and the provinces also still need to publish regulations that will govern the cannabis trade.
Trudeau said they are going to treat it like wine and tobacco
Trudeau promised to legalize it during the 2015 election and had set a goal of July 1 for it. The provinces pleaded for more time.
Canadian marijuana stocks have rallied in anticipation of legalization and jumped again on Wednesday.
In the neighbouring U.S., nine states and the District of Columbia have legalized marijuana. California, home to one in eight Americans, launched the United States’ biggest legal marijuana marketplace on January 1.
