(Ldh,Pb) Alone Woman in Ludhiana Can Call Free Police Ride
City Police has launched a free ride scheme under which woman, travelling alone in odd hours and not able to find a vehicle to go home, can call the police helpline numbers and request for a cab.
The vehicle of the nearby Police Control Room or the Station House Officer will drop her safely to her destination, a senior police official said on Sunday.
This facility will be available between 10 pm to 6 am on all days free of cost

पांच साल में सभी राज्यों के 100 शहरों को स्मार्ट सिटी बनाने के लिये अब तक 18614.10 करोड़ रुपये की केंद्रीय सहायता राशि जारी की गयी। राज्य इसमें से 9497.09 करोड़ रुपये (51 प्रतिशत) का इस्तेमाल कर पाये हैं।
देश के सौ शहरों को अत्याधुनिक नागरिक सुविधाओं से लैस करने के लिये शुरु की गयी सरकार की महत्वाकांक्षी ‘स्मार्ट सिटी परियोजना’ में पश्चिम बंगाल और पूर्वोत्तर के राज्य फिसड्डी साबित हो रहे हैं, वहीं मध्य प्रदेश इस मामले में अन्य राज्यों से काफी आगे है।यह यौजना आवासन एवं शहरी विकास मंत्रालय द्वारा जून 2015 में शुरु की गयी
उत्तर प्रदेश और और पश्चिम बंगाल के कुछ शहरों को केन्द्र द्वारा पांच साल में महज दो करोड़ रुपये ही जारी किये जाने के कारण इन शहरों में परियोजनायें सुस्त हैं।
उत्तर प्रदेश के गाजियाबाद, मेरठ और रामपुर, पश्चिम बंगाल के बिधाननगर, दुर्गापुर और हल्दिया, महाराष्ट्र में ग्रेटर मुंबई और अमरावती तथा तमिलनाडु के डिंडीगुल को पांच साल में महज दो करोड़ रुपये ही केन्द्रीय राशि मिली है।

GST revenue collection crossed the Rs 1 lakh crore mark after a gap of three months in November with the revenue growing by 6 per cent to Rs 1.03 lakh crore in the month.
The GST collection was Rs 95,380 crore in October while it was Rs 97,637 crore November 2018.
Of gross Rs 1,03,492 crore in November, CGST is Rs 19,592 crore, SGST is Rs 27,144 crore, IGST is Rs 49,028 crore (including Rs 20,948 crore collected on imports) and Cess is Rs 7,727 crore (including Rs 869 crore collected on imports), an official statement said.
After two months of negative growth, the GST revenue witnessed an impressive recovery with a growth of 6 per cent in November 2019 over the November 2018 collections, it said.
During the month, the GST collection on domestic transactions witnessed a growth of 12 per cent, the highest during the year
