(New Delhi) AWWA Provides 3,700 Food Packets to Delhi Govt:Corona
Army Wives Welfare Organisation (AWWA) today handed over 2,500 food packets to the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi for distribution to the needy people during lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some 1,200 food packets were handed over yesterday. The food packet distribution free of charge will continue for five days.
The food packets were prepared under Army’s AWWA Lunch project by families of Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Other Ranks at their houses in various colonies of Delhi.
One of the largest voluntary organisations in the country, the AWWA aims for the holistic development and well-being of Army Wives, including their children, rehabilitation of war widows and differently-abled children. It also takes active participation in the activities of Central and State Governments towards improving the living conditions of the poor.

12,000 fake N95 face masks were seized from a warehouse by the Central Crime Branch
The filtering masks have been in demand since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, which has claimed 32 lives and affected 1,251 people in the country.
As per Local Police “So far, the accused has sold 70,000 masks at a cost of Rs 1.05 crore”
The warehouse in Kalyan Nagar was raided on Monday night and 12,300 fake N95 masks worth Rs 20 lakh were seized
There is a shortage of these masks in the market. Complaints have also been received by authorities that masks are being sold at exorbitant prices.

(New Delhi) Muslim Woman Donates ₹5 Lakh Meant for Hajj Pilgrimage
Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, the holiest city of Muslims.
A Muslim woman from Jammu and Kashmir has donated her savings of Rs 5 lakh, meant for the Hajj pilgrimage, to the RSS-affiliated ‘Sewa Bharati’
Khalida Begum, 87, who saved Rs 5 lakh for Hajj, was forced to defer her plans for the pilgrimage due to the lockdown.
Meanwhile, since the lockdown was announced, Sewa Bharati volunteers across the country have been providing food and other essential items to the needy. The Sangh-affiliate’s volunteers were seen on Saturday managing crowd and providing food to them at the Anand Vihar bus terminal in Delhi.

पंजाब में कोविड-19 से दूसरी मौत

(अमृतसर,पँजांब) पंजाब में बेशक दो दिनों में कोरोना वायरस का कोई नया केस खोला नही गया लेकिन कोविड-19 से दूसरी मौत की सूचना है
वायरस से संक्रमित 62 वर्षीय एक मरीज की सरकारी मेडिकल कॉलेज में रविवार की शाम को मौत हो गई। राज्य में कोविड-19 से मौत का यह दूसरा मामला है।
सरकारी मेडिकल कालेज और अस्पताल की प्रधानाचार्य डॉ सुजाता शर्मा ने कोरोना वायरस से संक्रमित मरीज की मौत की पुष्टि की।
पंजाब में अब तक कोरोना वायरस के 38 मामले सामने आ चुके हैं।

The total number of positive cases stood at 38.
Of this,
19 cases were reported from Nawanshahr,
six each from Mohali and Hoshiarpur,
five Jalandhar and
one each from Amritsar and Ludhiana.
A Nawanshahr patient died, while another was discharged from Amritsar hospital after his test report came negative.

The Punjab government on Sunday announced that banks would remain open on March 30 and 31 to facilitate people in their financial transactions, amid the curfew restrictions due to coronavirus pandemic.
From April 3 onwards, all bank branches shall be open for two days of the week, on a rotation basis,
The deputy commissioners (DCs) of the state have been asked to extend necessary support and ensure other requisite items during relaxation to the banking staff, the release said.
On March 31, a special clearing of all government cheques will be conducted.
Though April 1 is a non-public dealing day for the banks, the DCs have been asked to provide requisite passes to the bank staff on that day too
This was followed up with orders from the Ministry of Finance and Reserve Bank of India on 27th March, 2020

The test reports of 153 samples is awaited, while 455 samples were found negative
The total number of COVID-19 patients discharged in the state stands at six, including five from Gurgaon and one from Faridabad
