(Mumbai)British Filmmaker Gurinder Chadha’s Aunt (Bhua)Dies:Covid
Indian-origin British filmmaker Gurinder Chadha said That her aunt passed away on Sunday in a hospital in the UK.
“Today we said goodbye to my dearest bhuaji /aunt from #covid19 complications. She was my dad’s little sister,” Gurinder wrote alongside a family picture.
She survived the Partiton of India and sadly for us, her family no one could be with her in person in her final moments
She thanked two nurses in the hospital who held her aunt’s hand, FaceTimed her children who all chanted Sikh prayers during which “her soul departed.”
McEnany to Serve as the White House Press Secretary
Today, President Donald J. Trump announced the additions of Kayleigh McEnany and Alyssa Farah to the White House staff.
McEnany, currently the National Press Secretary for Donald J. Trump for President, will serve as the White House Press Secretary.
Farah is joining the White House as Director of Strategic Communications from her current role as Press Secretary for the Department of Defense. In addition, Ben Williamson, currently Senior Advisor to the White House Chief of Staff, will work with McEnany and Farah
(Mumbai) Bharat Star Salman Transferring Funds to 25 K Daily Wages Workers of Film Industry
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has started the process of transferring funds into the accounts of daily wage workers of the film industry, the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) said on Wednesday.
The actor had recently pledged to financially support 25,000 daily wage workers who have been badly hit by the 21-day lockdown to contain the coronavirus spread in the country.
According to B N Tiwari, FWICE, President, Salman has made an initial payment of Rs 3,000 each to the daily wage workers of the film industry, starting Tuesday.
