PM congratulates ISRO on the successful launch of GSLV D5
Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has congratulated the scientists and engineers of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) for the successful launch of GSLV D5 carrying GSAT-14 payload.
Commending ISRO for the successful launch, he described it as yet another important step that the country has taken in the area of science and technology.
The Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle [GSLV] D5 was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota today.

Dr Man mohan singh said ,. “We all know that Kerala is the leading State in the country in terms of indices of human development. Literacy is one of these indices and the fact that Kerala took an early lead in literacy has in turn helped it do well in the other dimensions of human development. The success of the literacy movement in Kerala owes much to a great son of the State, Shri P. N. Panicker. I join all of you in paying tribute to him as we launch this E-Literacy Project to be implemented by the P. N. Panicker Vigyan Vikas Kendra. I also compliment the Kendra for this initiative”.
P M Said” In today’s world of instant communication and the Internet, it is not easy to imagine and appreciate the difficulties which a frail man must have faced as he lit the spark of literacy in a small village in North Kerala in the first half of the last century and then spread his message to the whole of the State. Later, Shri Panicker’s initiative, the Grandhasala Sangam ignited a popular cultural movement in Kerala at the end of which the State acquired total literacy in the 1990s.
The Grandhasala Sangam began humbly with 47 libraries in 1945 and grew into a network of more than 6,000 libraries spreading across the towns and villages of Kerala. Shri Panicker also established the Kerala Association for Non Formal Education and Development (KANFED). The activities of these two organizations working together made a profound impact on the education, culture and development of Kerala.

केन्द्रीय सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री श्री मनीष तिवारी ने आज भारत सरकार के दीवार कैलेंडर 2014 का विमोचन तथा लोकार्पण किया। इस अवसर पर सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय में सचिव श्री बिमल जुल्का, प्रधानमंत्री के मीडिया सलाहकार श्री पंकज पचौरी तथा अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी इस अवसर पर मौजूद थे। कैलेंडर का मूल विषय है, ‘भारत निर्माण तथा भारत सरकार की अन्य फ्लैगशिप योजनाएं’। इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए श्री मनीष तिवारी ने कहा कि यह कैलेंडर सरकार की नीतियों के बारे में लोगों तक जानकारी पहुंचाने का बेहतर माध्यम है। हालांकि मीडिया डिजिटल माध्यमों से सूचनाओं का दूर-दूर तक प्रसार करती है फिर भी भारतीय परिस्थितियों में कैलेंडर का अपना महत्व है। कैलेंडर के माध्यम से प्रत्येक नागरिक के घर तक फ्लैगशिप योजनाओं की जानकारी पहुंचती है। विशेषकर जहां भी नागरिकों के अधिकारों की बात है, जैसे कि ”आम आदमी का हक”। भारत सरकार की यह पहल लोगों को नीतियों के बारे में जानकारी देना है ताकि समावेशी विकास को बढ़ावा दिया जा सके।
मंत्री श्री तिवारी ने यह भी कहा कि ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लोग दीवार कैलेंडर बहुत पसन्द करते हैं। यह कैलेंडर न सिर्फ दिल्ली के सरकारी दफ्तरों के लिए प्रस्तुत किया गया है बल्कि इसे देश की प्रत्येक पंचायत को ध्यान में रखते हुए तैयार किया गया है।
मंत्रालय के सचिव श्री बिमल जुल्का ने पिछले एक वर्ष में मंत्रालय की मुख्य गतिविधियों की चर्चा की।पहले यह केलेण्डर केवल केंद्रीय सरकार के कार्यालयों के लिए ही छपवाए जाते थे जो अधिकतर दिल्ली तक सीमित रह जाते थे इस वर्ष इन्हें ग्रामीण इलाकों में भी भेजने की योजना है
[जनवरी] माह ‘सूचना का अधिकार अधिनियम 2005’ को प्रदर्शित करता है जिससे नागरिक मात्र दस रुपये के मामूली शुल्क से सरकारी जानकारी के बारे में समयबद्ध सूचना प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।
[फरवरी] माह ‘महात्मा गांधी ग्रामीण रोजगार गारंटी अधिनियम, 2005′[मनरेगा] को प्रदर्शित करता है। यह कार्यक्रम कम से कम 100 दिन का सुनिश्चित रोजगार प्रदान करते हुए आजीविका सुरक्षा को बढ़ाता है।
[मार्च] माह ‘आधार’ को प्रदर्शित करता है जो कि एक ऐेसी महत्वपूर्ण योजना है जिससे सरकारी योजनाओं तक आसान पहुंच सुनिश्चित बनाने के लिए जीवनभर के लिए एक 12 अंक का विशिष्ट पहचान नम्बर प्रदान किया जाता है।
[अप्रैल] माह ‘खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिनियम 2013 को समर्पित है जो कि 81 करोड़ लोगों को खाद्य सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करता है।
[मई ]माह ‘भूमि अधिग्रहण अधिनियम, 2013 को प्रदर्शित करता है जिसके तहत प्राप्त की गई भूमि के मालिकों को युक्तिसंगत व उचित मुआवजा प्रदान किया जाता है।
[जून]बच्चों को मुफ्त व अनिवार्य शिक्षा का अधिकार, अधिनियम 2009 जून माह में वर्णित है। यह अधिकार सीखने का वातावरण प्रदान करता है, जो कि पक्षपात रहित हो।
[जुलाई] माह में अनुसूचित जनजाति और अन्य वनवासी अधिनियम 2006 के प्रदर्शन करता है। यह अधिनियम अनुसूचित जनजाति व अन्य वनवासियों की आजीविका व भूमि स्वामित्व के अधिकारों को सुनिश्चित बनाता है। अभी तक अनुसूचित जनजाति को 18.8 लाख हैक्टेयर वन भूमि के लिए 13 लाख स्वामित्व के पट्टे दिये जा चुके हैं।
[अगस्त]शहरी भारत में आधारभूत ढांचा एक महत्व भूमिका निभाता है। अगस्त माह में मैट्रो रेल की यात्रा का वर्णन किया गया है जो कि आज के शहरी भारत की जीवन रेखा बन चुकी है। मैट्रो रेल शुरू से कई शहरों में विश्व स्तरीय सार्वजनिक आवागमन सेवा शुरू हो सकी है। इससे शहर की सड़कों पर ट्राफिक जाम से राहत मिली है व पर्यावरण मुखी आवागमन सेवा मिल सकी है।
[सितम्बर] माह ‘कनेक्टिंग इंडिया’ को समर्पित है। भारत में 2004 से लेकर अब तक संचार घनत्व 25 गुणा बढ़ चुका है। 2012-13 के दौरान ग्रामीण टेलीफोन कनेक्शनों की गिनती बढ़ कर एक करोड़ हो गई है।
[अक्टूबर]] प्रधानमंत्री ग्राम सड़क योजना अक्तूबर माह का विषय है। इस योजना से सुदूर इलाकों को जोड़ने के लिए सभी तरह मौसम के अनुकूल उच्च गुणवत्ता सड़कों का निर्माण किया गया है।
[नवम्बर] माह प्रत्यक्ष लाभ हस्तानांतरण योजना डीबीटी पर प्रकाश डालता है जिसके अंतर्गत छात्रवृत्तियां, रसोई गैस सब्सिडी, वृद्धावस्था पेंशन व अन्य लाभ, लाभार्थियों के खातों में सीधे हस्तानांतरित किये जाते हैं। ‘आप का पैसा आपके हाथ’ डीबीटी का आदर्श वाक्य है।
[दिसंबर]’हम सब भारतीय हैं’ दिसम्बर के विषय के रूप में वर्णित है जो कि हमसे अलग विचारधाराओं के लिए सहिष्णुता व आदर को प्रोत्साहित करना सिखाने वाली हमारी देश की संस्कृतियों पर केन्द्रित है।

एसोसिएशन अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि मांग में ईमानदार और तर्क संगत होने पर उसका निदान भी शीघ्र होता है|एसोसेशन के प्रयासों से अब विभाग के वेब साईट [CGDA]पर बैठकों की मिनट्स अप लोड होने लग गई हैं|रक्षा लेखा विभाग में कुल संख्या १३६९१ है जिनमे से पूना मुख्यालय की संख्या ७४४० है चूंकि अपनी कमीज सबको सफ़ेद लगती है इसीलिए अपील करता हूँ कि कलकत्ता मुख्यालय कि सदस्यता ग्रहण करके उत्साह वर्धन करें ताकि जनकल्याण के अधिक से अधिक कार्य कर सकें |

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj Of Science of Spirituality+ SAWAN KRIPAL RUHANI MISSION Said That At this time of year, most people have two major decisions to make. The first is what holiday gifts we want to receive. The second is what New Year’s resolutions we want to make.
The question of holiday gifts often focuses on a material gift we want for ourselves or to give our loved ones. From childhood, many children are told to make a list of what they want as a holiday gift and most focus on toys and games. As adults, we focus on gadgets, necessities, or something fun and entertaining. Most involve items that are perishable, as they will either break, become lost, or we will lose interest in them. Few holiday gifts are lasting and meaningful.
New Year’s resolutions usually do not focus on physical gifts, but on making new habits to improve our physical body and mind. For the body, some popular resolutions focus on our weight, fitness, health, appearance, or bodily goals. For the mind, we may want to improve our emotional wellness, our relationships, or our skills. We may want to take a course to improve our mind or develop a new ability. Often we want to eliminate habits that are not helpful to us.
Masters give a different perspective on life. They point out that any gifts or resolutions related to this physical world, our body, and our mind are not lasting. They are perishable as anything made of matter will one day be destroyed. Material gifts we receive or give have a limited shelf life. Resolutions that affect our physical body and mind are also only going to last as long as we reside in this physical body. What, then, are decisions we can make for holiday gifts and New Year’s resolutions that are lasting? Saints advise that the gifts that are lasting are those of a spiritual nature that benefit our soul. Our soul is eternal and anything we receive to help our soul or any choices we make to improve our spiritual development will last beyond our physical life. Such spiritual gifts go with us beyond this life and stay with us for eternity.
The most lasting gift we can give ourselves and our loved ones is learning how to meditate on the inner Light and Sound. Through meditation, we connect with an eternal source of all happiness, love, and Light that does not perish. This inner connection fulfills us with more joy and bliss than any material gifts of this world. The best resolution we can make is to meditate daily and avail of the spiritual riches God wants to bestow on us—union with God. Of all the resolutions we can make for our body and mind, the one with the most lasting benefit is meditation as that enriches our soul. Fulfillment of our soul provides far greater joy and ecstasy than any gains for our body and mind.
This year, we can benefit the most by placing meditation on the inner Light and Sound at the top of our gift wish list. If we already know how to meditate, then let us pray for the regularity, devotion, commitment, and passion to keep it a priority in our life. For our New Year’s resolution, by placing a minimum of two and a half hours daily meditation at the top of our list, we can enjoy a gift that never perishes and is always a source of joy, love, and bliss—union of our soul with God.

Petroleum Minister, Dr. M. Veerappa Moily today took additional charge of the Ministry of Environment & Forests .
While speaking to media persons after assuming the charge , Dr Moily said “ There is space for everyone … environment, wildlife and mankind.
It is only our mental block which sometime thinks that there is friction and I think that friction will have to end up with fusion. There are already set , rules and laws laid down and we need to perform the duty of regulator. The rules of game will have to be strictly followed. As far as possible nothing should be left for the discretion. Ultimately, we have to go by rules of games which are laid down by the Ministry. He further said that he will not compromise on the green image. ”
Dr Moily was given additional charge of the Environment and Forests Ministry after Ms Jayanthi Natarajan resigned last week .
