Govt Amends Pension Rules; Disability Compensation for All Disabled Employees
(New Delhi)Govt Extends Disability Compensation for All Serving Employees
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh today informed of the government decision to extend “Disability Compensation” for all serving employees, if they get disabled in the line of duty while performing their service and are retained in service in spite of such disablement.
This order will particularly provide a huge relief to young Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel like CRPF, BSF, CISF, etc since disability in performance of duties is generally reported in their case due to constraints of job requirement as well as hostile or difficult work – environment.
if a government servant gets disabled while performing his duties and this disablement is attributed to government service, in that case if he is still retained in the service in spite of disablement, a lump sum compensation will be paid to him by arriving at the capitalized value of the disability element, with reference to the Commutation Table in force from time to time.
In another employee-friendly decision, the Ministry of Personnel recently did away with minimum qualifying service of 10 years for pension, if a government servant is incapacitated due to bodily or medical infirmity and retired from government service. Accordingly, Rule 38 of CCS (Pension) Rules was amended to provide Invalid Pension at 50% of the last pay, even if the employee had not completed minimum qualifying service of 10 years.
In addition to above, in yet another reform in the Pension Rules, a decision was also taken to amend the rule and provide pension at enhanced rate to the family of an employee who died during service before completing the requisite service of minimum 7 years. As a result, now the family pension of 50% of the last pay is also admissible to the family of employees who die even before completing 7 years of service.

मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत ने #चित्तौड़गढ़ एवं #झुन्झुनू स्थित सैनिक स्कूलों में अध्ययनरत राजस्थानी विद्यार्थियों को अब राज्य सरकार की ओर से शिक्षण शुल्क के लिए छात्रवृति राशि 10000-25000 रूपये से बढ़ाकर 15000-37500 रूपये कर दी है
वर्तमान में सैनिक स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले छात्रों की वार्षिक पारिवारिक आय 1.2 लाख रूपये तक होने पर पूर्ण छात्रवृति के रूप में शिक्षण शुल्क के लिए 25,000 रूपये की राशि देय है। राज्य सरकार ने पूर्ण छात्रवृति की पात्रता के लिए पारिवारिक आय सीमा को बढ़ाकर 3 लाख रूपये तथा देय शिक्षण शुल्क की छात्रवृति राशि में वृद्धि कर इसे 37,500 रूपये कर दिया है। इसी प्रकार, तीन-चौथाई छात्रवृति के लिए पात्र छात्रों की वर्तमान परिवारिक आय सीमा 1.2 लाख – 1.8 लाख रूपये वार्षिक को संशोधित कर 3 लाख – 5 लाख रूपये वार्षिक कर दिया है। अब तीन-चौथाई छात्रवृति के रूप में शिक्षण शुल्क के लिए छात्रवृति राशि 20,000 रूपये की बजाय 30,000 रूपये देय होगी।
प्रस्ताव के अनुसार, आधी छात्रवृति के पात्र सैनिक स्कूल के छात्रों की वर्तमान पारिवारिक आय सीमा 1.8 लाख-2.4 लाख रूपये को बढ़ाकर 5 लाख – 7.5 लाख रूपये किया गया है, जिसके लिए शिक्षण शुल्क के रूप में देय 15,000 रूपये की छात्रवृति राशि को भी बढ़ाकर 20,000 रूपये किया गया है। इसी प्रकार, एक-चौथाई छात्रवृति के पात्र छात्रों की वर्तमान पारिवारिक आय सीमा 2.4 लाख-3.0 लाख रूपये में संशोधन कर इसे 7.5 लाख-10 लाख रूपये तक बढ़ाया गया है। साथ ही, इसके लिए देय शिक्षण शुल्क की छात्रवृति राशि में भी वृद्धि कर 10,000 रूपये की बजाय 15,000 रूपये किया गया है।

(Lucknow,UP) Licence Fee of Multiplexes For Six Months Waived
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced exemption of licence fee of multiplexes and cinema halls for the period from April 1 to September 30.
Multiplexes and picture halls were closed during this period because of the coronavirus lockdown and the exemption will come as a major relief to their owners.
The state government has permitted reopening of cinema halls from October 15, subject to certain conditions under the coronavirus protocol.

The Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday approved waiver of fee for Change of Land Use (CLU) and several other charges for Satsang Bhawans established, or to be established in future, by Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) across the state.
Apart from CLU, the other charges to be waived include External Development Charges (EDC), Permission Fee (PF), Social Infrastructure Fund (SIF) and Building Scrutiny Fee.
It may be recalled that the State Government has already exempted above charges for educational, health, religious and social institutions set up by SGPC, Durgiana Mandir, Amritsar and Devi Talab Mandir, Jalandhar, vide its notification dated May 10, 2012.

The New India Foundation fellowships are awarded biennially to Indian citizens for a period of one year and carry a stipend of Rs 1.5 lakh a month in addition to editorial and publishing support.
In a statement, the foundation has announced August 31 as the deadline for applications for the tenth edition of its fellowship programme. The selected fellows will join a community of 21 published authors.
The proposals for the fellowship need to be oriented towards publication and outline a road map towards that destination, it said.
Spearheaded by Ramachandra Guha, Nandan Nilekani, Srinath Raghavan, Manish Sabharwal and Niraja Gopal Jayal, the foundation strives to foster interest in documenting the dynamic and rich landscape of post-Independence India and to encourage high-quality research.
Some of the works of non-fiction supported by the foundation and published in recent years include Rahul Pandita’s “Our Moon Has Blood Clots”, Akshaya Mukul’s “Gita Press and the Making of Hindu India”, Amrita Shah’s “Ahmedabad: A City in the World”, and Saba Dewan’s “Tawaifnama” to name a few.
According to founding trustee Guha, the foundation has published “more than 20 outstanding works of history and non-fiction, many by younger writers that have won a sheaf of prestigious awards”.
“Our ongoing fellowship programme aims to catalyse and produce many more such books that will illuminate in different ways the history and politics of India since Independence,” he said.
Based in Bengaluru, the New India Foundation encourages breakthrough research on contemporary Indian history by awarding fellowships to gifted, energetic, scholars and writers.
