(New Delhi)BJP Slammed Congress Leader Navjot S Sidhu For Praising Imran in Pakistan The BJP on Sunday slammed Congress leader Navjot Sidhu for praising Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Kartarpur corridor inauguration across the international border and allegedly seeking to present Pakistani leadership on a higher pedestal than India’s.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra criticised Sidhu’s remarks praising Imran Khan and describing him as the king of hearts. Sidhu had said, “Sikandar (Alexander) had won the world with fear and you won the heart all over the world.”
Patra alleged that by making such remarks, Sidhu sought to show Pakistan and Khan on a higher pedestal than India.
He said Sidhu also reportedly projected himself as a representative of 14 crore Sikhs.
“He was invited as a chief guest there. He was not part of the official ‘jatha’ which went from India. Who gave him this right,” Patra questioned.

पाकिस्तान के खिलाड़ी प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान ने करतारपुर गलियारा का इस्तेमाल कर गुरुद्वारा दरबार साहिब आने वाले भारतीय सिख श्रद्धालुओं के लिये एक साल तक पासपोर्ट की शर्त हटा दी है। इसके उलट पाकिस्तानी सेना के एक प्रवक्ता ने पहले कहा था कि तीर्थयात्रियों को पासपोर्ट की जरूरत होगी।
इससे पहले, पाकिस्तानी सेना के प्रवक्ता मेजर जनरल आसिफ गफूर ने कहा कि करतारपुर साहिब आने वाले भारतीय तीर्थयात्रियों को करतारपुर गलियारे का इस्तेमाल करने के लिये पासपोर्ट की जरूरत होगी। इसके बाद पासपोर्ट पर स्थिति को लेकर थोड़ा भ्रम हो गया था।
एक नवंबर को, प्रधानमंत्री खान ने करतापुर गलियारे का निर्माण पूरा होने की ट्विटर पर घोषणा करते हुए कहा था कि उन्होंने दो शर्तों को माफ कर दिया है। इनमें से एक पासपोर्ट से जुड़ी शर्त थी जबकि दूसरी शर्त भारत से करतारपुर तीर्थयात्रा पर आने वाले सिखों द्वारा 10 दिन पहले पंजीकरण कराने से जुड़ी थी।
उन्होंने कहा था कि भारत के सिख श्रद्धालुओं को करतारपुर आने के लिए पासपोर्ट की नहीं बल्कि एक वैध पहचान-पत्र की जरूरत होगी।

Online registration of devotees began on Thursday after India and Pakistan signed an agreement to operationalise the Kartarpur Corridor to allow Sikh pilgrims to visit the holy Darbar Sahib in that country.
For registration of pilgrims, online portal (prakashpurb550.mha.gov.in) has gone live today
The pilgrims will have to register themselves online on this portal and exercise their choice to travel on any day.
The pilgrims need to carry Electronic Travel Authorisation, along with their passport, when they arrive at the Passenger Terminal Building
The Kartarpur corridor will connect the Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Punjab with Darbar Sahib in Narowal district of Pakistan’s Punjab province.

Pakistan is expected to earn up to Indian Rs 258 crore per annum — about Pakistani Rs 571 crore — from pilgrims visiting Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur
The service fee from the pilgrims will be another source of foreign currency generation for Pakistan, which is already reeling under severe financial crisis,
Since 5,000 pilgrims are allowed to visit the gurdwara Darbar Saheb Kartarpur, Pakistan, which will be charging $ 20 service fee per pilgrim, will earn $ 1,00,000 every day.
With Monday’s rate of Indian Rs 70.95 for one USD, Pakistan will earn Indian Rs 70.95 lakh every day.
As the rate of Pakistani currency is Rs 156.46 for one $, the per day earning will be Rs 1.56 crore (Pakistani rupees).
Since the pilgrimage will be allowed all 365 days in a year, Pakistan will earn $ 3,65,00,000.
The amount will be Indian Rs 258 crore and Pakistani Rs 571 crore.
India and Pakistan have also decided that the corridor will be operational throughout the year and seven days a week and that pilgrims will have a choice to visit it as individuals or in groups.

यह प्रस्तावित गलियारा करतारपुर के दरबार साहिब को पंजाब के गुरदासपुर जिले के डेरा बाबा नानक धर्मस्थल से जोड़ेगा जिससे उससे भारतीय श्रद्धालु वीजा मुक्त आवाजाही कर पायेंगे। श्रद्धालुओं को करतारपुर साहिब जाने के लिए बस एक परमिट लेना होगा। गुरू नानक देवजी ने 1522 में करतारपुर साहिब की स्थापना की थी।
पाकिस्तान भारतीय सीमा से करतारपुर के गुरूद्वारा दरबार साहिब तक गलियारे का निर्माण कर रहा है जबकि पंजाब के डेरा बाबा नानक से सीमा तक गलियारे का दूसरा हिस्सा भारत बनाएगा।
पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री #इमरानखान ने फेसबुक पर लिखा, ‘‘ पाकिस्तान दुनियाभर के सिखों के लिए अपने दरवाजे खोलने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है और करतारपुर परियोजना पर निर्माण कार्य अंतिम चरण में पहुंच चुका है। उसे नौ नवंबर, 2019 को लोगों के लिए खोल दिया जाएगा।’’
उन्होंने कहा, इससे स्थानीय अर्थव्यवस्था को बल मिलेगा, देश के लिए विदेशी मुद्रा अर्जित होगी तथा यात्रा एवं आतिथ्य समेत विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में नौकरियां पैदा होंगी।’’
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘ पाकिस्तान में धार्मिक पर्यटन बढ़ रहा है। पहले बौद्ध भिक्षु धार्मिक रीति-रिवाजों के लिए आये थे और अब करतारपुर गलियारा खोला जा रहा है।’’
भारत के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री डॉ मनमोहन सिंह ने करतारपुर गलियारा उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम में ‘एक आम आदमी’ के रूप में शामिल होने के लिए उनका निमंत्रण स्वीकार कर लिया है।

As per Dawn Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told reporters in his home town Multan on Saturday that Singh has accepted his invitation and would attend the scheduled opening as a common man rather than as a special guest
The proposed corridor will connect Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur with Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district of Punjab and facilitate visa-free movement of Indian pilgrims, who will have to just obtain a permit to visit Kartarpur Sahib, which was established in 1522 by Guru Nanak Dev.
Pakistan is building the corridor from the Indian border to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, while the other part from Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district up to the border will be constructed by India.
Qureshi said Prime Minister Imran Khan would inaugurate Pakistan’s part of the corridor, facilitating pilgrimage of 5,000 Indian Sikhs everyday to their holy place.

Postpaid mobile services on all networks were restored in the Kashmir Valley on Monday, 72 days after they were snapped following restrictions.
Some 40 lakh postpaid mobile phones have become operational from Monday noon.
Restrictions were imposed after the Centre on August 5 abrogated the state’s special status and bifurcated it into Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh, which will come into being on October 31.
