कैलिफोर्निया में एक गुरुद्वारे में घुसकर पांच सशस्त्र बदमाशों ने दानपात्र में रखी नकदी लूटी
तीन लुटेरे रविवार सुबह गुरुद्वारे के सामने के दरवाजे से घुसे। इनमें एक के पास बंदूक और दूसरे के पास चाकू था। जबकि तीसरा निहत्था था। तीनों ने हजारों डॉलर दान पात्र से निकाले और बराबर के दरवाजे से बाहर भाग गए, जहां उनके दो अन्य साथी इंतजार कर रहे थे।
गुरुद्वारे में डकैती की यह पहली घटना है। यह भयावह घटना है, क्योंकि वे हथियार लेकर आए थे।यहाँ यदपि कुछ श्र्धालू थे मगर किसी ने भी लुटेरों का विरोध नहीं किया गौरतलब है कि यहाँ की जनसंख्या में 20 प्रतिशत आबादी सिखों की है।
पिछले साल अगस्त में विस्कांसिन स्थित ओकक्रीक गुरुद्वारे में हुई गोलीबारी में छह लोग मारे गए थे।राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने सिखों के धार्मिक स्थलोंपर अटैक पर कड़ी चिंता व्यक्त की थी |
