होने के बाद भी नहीं रुका है| मरने के बाद भी उन्होंने बहस की एक ऐसी चांदनी बिखेरी है जिसकी रौशनी में आदमी और इंसान के जीवन में लगे डेंगू के दाग पर बहस का नया दौर शुरू हो गया है| पिछले कई वर्षों से डेंगू के मच्छर से लोग बीमार होते आ रहे हैं कुछ मौते भी हो रही हैं| इस मामले में देश के साउथ और नार्थ में कोई भेद भाव नहीं रह गया है|पहले तो बड़े बड़े अखबारों में डेंगू से सम्बन्धित दुर्घटना को लेकर छोटा सा स्पेस पर्याप्त समझा जाता था सरकारें भी जन जागृति के नाम पर विज्ञापन पब्लिश करवा कर पल्ला झाड लेती थी |प्रति वर्ष हज़ारों की संख्या में बीमार और सैंकड़ों मौतें दर्ज़ की जाती हैं| सीजन बदलना भी कुदरत का नियम है सीजन के बदलने के बाद सब कुछ सामान्य चलने लगता है| इस सीजन में भी लोग बीमार पड़ रहे हैं मौतें भी हो रही है लेकिन अबकी बार दिल्ली से हेदराबाद तक के अख़बार डेंगू के प्रकोप से भरे पड़े हैं| टी वी चैनल भी प्रमुखता से [निशुल्क]जन जागृती फैला रहे हैं| इससे राजनीतिकों को भी अपना राजनीतिक जहर निकालने का मौका मिल रहा है|
वैसे तो हर साल इस सीजन में डेंगू को लेकर प्लेटलेट्स की कमी डिटेक्ट की जाती रही है और मरीजों में आम पैनिक देखा जाता रहा है \इस वर्ष भी देश में अब तक 17 हजार से अधिक डेंगू के मरीज सामने आ चुके हैं।मगर अब इस दिशा में थोड़ी गंभीरता दिखाई देने लग गई है| इस साल अब तक अकेले मुंबई में 650 + और दिल्ली में ७००+ डेंगू के मामले सामने आ चुके हैं। सोमवार को ही दिल्ली में डेंगू के 33 नए मरीज सामने आ चुके हैं|स्थिति की भयावता इससे आंकी जा सकती है की स्वास्थ्य की रक्षक एम्स में कई डाक्टर भी इसी डेंगू की चपेट में आ चुके हैं |इससे ज्यादा गंभीर यह है की इसके उप निदेशक विनीत चौधरी भी डेंगू की लपेट में आ चुके हैं| इस साल अब तक 100 से अधिक मौते रिकार्ड की जा चुकी हैं| कहने का तात्पर्य है की इन दिनों भी डेंगू बड़ी तेजी से फैल रहा है और इसकी चपेट में लोग आ रहे हैं और व्यवस्था पर प्रश्न चिन्ह लगा रहे हैं|इससे पहले की डेंगू से देश में पैनिक फैले या किसी महामारी की विजय हो हमेशा की तरह मीडिया ने जागरूकता अभियान छेड़ दिया है| कुछ अधिकारी भी इस दिशा में कदम बढ़ाते दिख रहे हैं | मुम्बई में बीएमसी के आला अधिकारी यश चोपड़ा की मौत की समीक्षा करने में जुट गए हैं|लीला वती अस्पताल से चौपडा की मौत के कारण सम्बन्धी रिपोर्ट तलब कर ली गई है| इससे मौत के असल कारण का पता लगाकर नतीजे से स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय को अवगत कराया जाना है|
अक्तूबर में डेंगू का प्रभाव सबसे अधिक होने के कारण स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने सभी राज्यों को एक बार फिर परामर्श जारी कर कहा है कि वे डेंगू के फैलाव को रोकें और इससे होने वाली हर मौत से केंद्र को अवगत कराएं। राज्यों के साथ-साथ अस्पतालों से भी कहा गया है कि वे डेंगू के मामलों की जानकारी दें ताकि इस समस्या से निपटने के प्रयासों को और तेज किए जाने में मदद मिले।
डेंगू के बारे में एक गलतफहमी यह है कि यह गंदगी भरे इलाकों में ज्यादा होता है लेकिन जारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक यह पॉश इलाकों में ज्यादा फैल रहा है। मुंबई और दिल्ली में 60 फीसदी से अधिक डेंगू के मामले पॉश कॉलोनियों में सामने आए हैं। इसका सबसे बड़ा कारण यह है कि डेंगू का मच्छर साफ पानी में ही जन्म लेता है। घर के अंदर लगे मनी प्लांट, फव्वारों, कूलर आदि में भरा पानी इसके पैदा होने के लिए आदर्श जगह होता है। डेंगू का मच्छर 50 मीटर से 200 मीटर तक ही उड़ान भर पाता है इसलिए ज्यादातर मच्छर मरीजों के घर में ही पनपते हैं और पड़ोसियों पर हमला करने की उनकी संभावना बेहद कम होती है।यह कह कर सरकारें बेशक फ़ैल रहे गन्दगी की जिम्मेदारी से पल्ला झाड़
ले मगर बीमारी के लिए दोषी डेंगू अभी भी कायम है और इसकी रोकथाम के लिए आवश्यक अभियान की शुरुआत दूर दूर तक कहीं दिखाई नहीं दे रही|

चिकित्सा विशेषज्ञों की राय के अनुसार इससे आम लोगों को ज्यादा डरने की जरूरत नहीं है क्योंकि जरा सी सावधानियों से डेंगू से पूरी तरह से बचाव संभव है| डेंगू हो भी गया है तो सही वक्त पर सही इलाज से पूरी तरह ठीक भी हुआ जा सकता है। उपलब्ध आंकड़ों के अनुसार भारत में डेंगू के एक प्रतिशत से भी कम मामलों में मरीजों की मौत होती है। लेकिन माना जा रहा है कि यश की मौत की जांच की जाएगी। पता चला है कि अब मुम्बई नगर निगम (बीएमसी) इसकी जाच करेगा।
डेंगू के प्रकोप से तिलमिलाई सरकारें एक दूसरे पर दोषारोपण में व्यस्त हो गई हैं|दिल्ली में पिछले वर्ष के मुकाबिले इस वर्ष डेंगू के केस दोगुने दर्ज़ किये जा चुके हैं|डाक्टर ऐ के वालिया ने इसे आउट आफ कन्द्रोल प्रकोप कह कर दाईत्व पूरा कर लिया है| मुख्यमंत्री अरविन्द केजरीवाल के बिजली आन्दोलन से घिरी हुई शीला दीक्षित डेंगू के लिए मुस्कुराते हुए भाजपा शासित एम् सी डी पर सारा ब्लेम डाल रही हैं|उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य मंत्री अखिलेश यादव ने चेतावनी जारी करवा दी है|देश के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री चेन्नई में मीटिंग ले रहे हैं| एक बैठक में स्वास्थ्य मंत्री गुलाम नबी आजाद ने यह कहा कि डेंगू से होने वाली हर एक मौत की जांच की जानी चाहिए। अक्तूबर में डेंगू का प्रभाव सबसे अधिक होने के कारण स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने सभी राज्यों को एक बार फिर परामर्श जारी कर कहा है कि वे डेंगू के फैलाव को रोकें और इससे होने वाली हर मौत से केंद्र को अवगत कराएं। राज्यों के साथ-साथ अस्पतालों से भी कहा गया है कि वे डेंगू के मामलों की जानकारी दें ताकि इस समस्या से निपटने के प्रयासों को और तेज किए जाने में मदद मिले।
फिल्म निदेशक यश चोपड़ा की मौत के बाद अब देश में स्वास्थ्य की रक्षक एजेंसियों को विशेष रूप से डेंगू के प्रकोप के लिए अपना मुह छुपाने के लिए एक दूसरे पर दोष मड़ने के बजाये एक अभियान छेड़ना होगा और पोलियो के तरह घरों में घुस कर डेंगू को मारना होगा |
