Group of Ministers Says ,Concerns of Andhra Pradesh Would be Addressed with “Fairness and Objectivity”.

[New Delhi]The Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana met for the first time today and gave assurance that the concerns of Andhra Pradesh would be addressed with “fairness and objectivity”.
Elaborate discussions on the issue will now be held on October 19 as two Senior ministers [1] A K Antony and [2]P Chidambaram could not attend this meet, Defence Minister Shri Antony is indisposed and the Finance Minister shri Chidambram Being out of the country.
Meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM) Was presided over by Shri Sushilkumar Shinde, the Union Home Minister and considered issues relating to the bifurcation of the State of Andhra Pradesh and formation of a new State of Telangana was held here today.
The GoM discussed the approach and methodology to be adopted by it. The GoM would like to assure all the people of Andhra Pradesh that the relevant issues as well as their concerns would be addressed with fairness and objectivity. The GoM would take the opinion of stakeholders on all important subjects while formulating its recommendations.
The GoM has finalized the different nodal Ministries and Departments of the Central Government who will prepare status reports which will be submitted to the GoM on the subjects in the Terms of Reference. Information in this regard will also be sought from the State Government and this process will start immediately.
The next meeting of the GoM will be held on 19th October, 2013
