विज्ञानं भवन में आज मोती लाल नेहरू की १५० वीं जन्म दिवस [६-५-१८६१ से ६-२-१९३१] पर विशेष आयोजन हुआ |पिन ड्राप सायलेंस में यूं पी ऐ अध्यक्षा श्रीमती सोनिया गाँधी और राष्ट्रपति प्रणव मुखर्जी ने मोती लाल नेहरू से सम्बंधित इतिहास के पन्ने खोले| मोती लाल की जीवनी से प्रेरणा लेकर पार्टी और राष्ट्र को मज़बूत बनाने का अहवाह्न किया गया|वित्त मंत्री पी चिदम्बरम ने १५०/= और ५/= के नए सिक्के राष्ट्रपति को भेंट किये जबकि मानव संसाधन मंत्री कपिल सिब्बल ने नए डाक टिकट प्रणव मुखर्जी को भेंट किये| सिक्के मुम्बई में ढाले गए जबकि टिकट नासिक की प्रेस में छापे गए || राष्ट्रपति प्रणव ने एक बार फिर अपने काबिलियत का सराहनीय प्रदर्शन किया और बिना पड़े मोती लाल नेहरू से सम्बन्धित १९१९ और १९२८ के कांग्रेस के इतिहास के महत्वपूर्ण पन्नों को उजागर किया| उन्होंने बताया कि मोतीलाल को लगातार दो बार कांग्रेस का अध्यक्ष बनाया गया था उनके कार्यकाल में अनेकों क्रांतिकारी फैसले लिए गए जो आगे चल कर स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में मील के पत्थर साबित हुए|इस आयोजन की गरिमा का पालन मीडिया द्वारा भी किया गया| गौरतलब है कि मंच पर लगाई गई मोती लाल कि तस्वीर से आज के राहुल गाँधी की शक्ल काफी हद तक समानता दिखाई दी
