Rashtriya Lok Dal chief today took a swipe at Narendra Modi, saying while farmers are committing suicide the PM is busy in foreign trips.
Addressing a farmers meet at a Farm House Of Kanker Khera , the former Civil Aviation Minister demanded enhanced compensation for farmers who have been affected by un seasonal rain and hailstorm.
He said that If the central government is claiming that it has fetched more than Rs two lakh crore from coal auction, at least Rs one lakh crore should be spent on farmers’ welfare, Singh said, adding that the funds can be used to waive their loans.
