Pakistan Is,Now, also Ready to Run for development with the crutches Of Privatization Of P I A . Nebouring Country Pakistan is also on the track of privatisation . To begin with ailing national carrier Pakistan International Airlines [ PIA ] has been selected .As per Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Prof Ahsan Iqbal This privatization may save 36 billion Rs annually to the ailing national carrier.Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today [Thursday] gave the go ahead for 26 % of ailing national carrier PIA it is expected that this move may boost the quality of the airline. The decision came a day after Sharif chaired a special cabinet meeting which also focused on the loss-making Pakistan International Airlines
Earlier this week, PIA had announced that flights to and from India by over 60 % will be reduced.The Nation has quoted the minister[1] “He made it clear that government would not provide any further financial assistance to PIA in future from the taxpayers’ money”[2]that every aircraft has about 700 staffers as compared to 120 member staff in other international airlines. Terming the previous government responsible, The national airline has faced huge losses during last PPP-led coalition government tenure when it restored its 6,000 employees with their previous dues, besides inducting new employees in its five years tenure.
