Senior Congress leader and former Union minister Manish Tewari has asked the Punjabis to make a careful choice between “chaos and anarchy” and “order and good governance” in the February 4 Assembly elections.

“Punjab needs Amarinder now more than it needed him any other time as the state needs to be retrieved and redeemed from chaos, anarchy, lawlessness, economic, financial and agrarian crisis”, he said, while adding, “only Amarinder can retrieve and redeem it”
As per report prepared by ADR,101 Candidates are facing criminal charges
14 candidates of Congress,
12 of AAP,
10 of SAD and
2 of BJP and
20 out of 304 Independents were facing criminal charges,
The report also said that a whopping 688 out of total 1,145 contestants, have declared their educational qualification between 5th standard and 12th standard while 41 candidates are illiterate.
