Delhi Ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said both the Congress and BJP have “blackened” their hands in the Agusta Westland chopper deal and demanded action against those involved.
The party also asked the government to come clean on allegations that former Air Chief S P Tyagi had links with Vivekananda Foundation, a Delhi based think tank, once headed by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. It also wondered whether this was the reason behind the probe agencies going “slow” in the investigation.
“This deal started during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure.
It was completed by the Manmohan Singh government and (it) cancelled the deal
.AAP leader Sanjay Singh said. It appears that since Congress and the BJP have both blackened their hands, this is why the Modi government is not taking any action against Sonia Gandhi,”
“If the intentions of Modi government is to combat corruption, then it should arrest those involved in it, right from Sonia Gandhi, Ahmed Patel to S P Tyagi and many other officers and politicians…whose name in involved in the Agusta Westland chopper deal. He said Even some journalists are believed to have been involved,” .
The party also posed six questions to the government over the investigations in the deal.
AAP leader Ashutosh said.
“It is evident that S P Tyagi has taken bribe. What is the connection of S P Tyagi with Vivekananda Foundation. NSA Ajit Doval and Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Nripendra Misra, both believed to be very powerful bureaucrats linked to Vivekananda Foundation.

Strongly refuting the allegations, the government termed attempts to link Doval and Misra to one of the accused as “totally baseless assertion and indicative of malicious intent”.

[Gurdaspur, Punjab] SAD Led Punjab to Start 200 skill development centers
Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said 200 skill development centers would be opened across the state to make the youth as employment generators not the job seekers.
Elaborating the plans of Punjab government to ensure all round development of the state, he said the government would open 2 skill development centers in every block of border districts, where the youth would be imparted free training in various streams to increase their avenues for self-employment.
The youth would contribute to the state’s development as also to their own family by being self employed with increase in resources, the Dy CM said.
Addressing a gathering at Shaheed Lieutenant Navdeep Singh (Ashoka Chakra) Sports stadium on the eve of inauguration of automated driving test track centre constructed at a cost of Rs 1.20 crore by state transport department, he said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has vision and farsightedness to empower the youth.
He also informed that every center would see the 1,000 youth passing out taking the total number of annual pass outs to more than 1.50 lakh fully skilled and trained youth.
He said that the state government would provide jobs to 1,20,000 youth of the state through a transparent process.
Terming ‘Kohinoor’ diamond an inseparable part of cultural heritage of the state, SAD president said that every effort would be made to bring this precious diamond back to Punjab and the matter would be pursued with the Centre.
He also said SGPC has been asked to file a petition in the Supreme Court in this regard.
Badal said the state government has formulated a policy to give interest free cash crop loans of Rs 50,000 to the farmers.
“Farmers’ tubewell bills have also been waived off for which the state government pays Rs 6,000 crore from its own coffers to the Powercom,” he said.
Launching a scathing attack on Congress, he said the Congress created unnecessary noise on the issue of cash credit limit (CCL) for purchase of foodgrains and misguided the public on this issue but it has been given a befitting reply with the announcing of CCL to Punjab which has amply proved that Congress wanted to delay the loans just to malign SAD-BJP government and score political brownie points.
Attacking Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), he said its so called formula of governance, if any, has miserably failed in Delhi and now it has set its eyes on Punjab with next year’s Assembly elections in mind.

Aam Admi Party[AAP] today demanded a CBI enquiry into alleged corruption at BJP ruled North Delhi Municipal Corporation charging that money was being pocketed by senior leaders of the party.
“AAP asks BJP leadership in Delhi and also the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a CBI enquiry into the role of BJP leaders who have pocketed corruption money from NDMC,”
AAP’s Delhi unit convener Dilip Pandey.Hitting at Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay, claimed that North Delhi mayor Ravindra Gupta’s letter written to Upadhyay “proves” that corruption was “committed” in the contract for sanitation work.
“Gupta has warned in his letter to Satish Upadhyay that if the party does not take any action against his corrupt colleagues, he will expose the party in the public,”
AAP has also asked the BJP to share report, if any, into the allegations of NDMC leader Yogendra Chandolia against the Mayor Gupta as well as the latter’s allegations against the BJP leaders.

The meeting, held yesterday, was presided over by senior leaders of AAP’s Delhi unit.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had yesterday exuded confidence over winning MCD polls.

[New Delhi,Punjab]”AAP” Step Back From Bypoll Of Khadoor Sahib.The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided not to contest khadoor sahib bypoll in Punjab even as its former member Bhai Baldeep Singh backed by Swaraj Abhiyan will be in the fray.
Party had earlier contested bypolls for Talwandi Sabo + Patiala Assembly seats, but the party suffered a drubbing.
The party now said it does not want to invest its resources in the bypoll, but will focus on the main battle in 2017.
AAP’s Punjab co-convenor Durgesh Pathak said. “What is the point in fielding a candidate when the main elections are few months away? He Added We are focussing on 2017,”
Incidentally, after its resounding success in Lok Sabha polls in Punjab, which gave four MPs to the party, the AAP had contested bypolls for Talwandi Sabo and Patiala Assembly seats, but the party suffered a drubbing.
AAP had, however, won from Patiala Lok Sabha seat just few months back then.
AAP former member Bhai Baldeep Singh has got the support of Swaraj Abhiyan leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, who are formers of the party.
Making it a prestige battle, the SAD is also going out all stops to ensure victory and has fielded Ravinder Singh Brahmpura for the bypoll.

Expelled AAP leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan are mulling to launch a political party and may field candidates for the 2017 Punjab assembly election, at a time when Arvind Kejriwal is pulling out all stops to ensure victory in the state.
Swaraj Abhiyan, a group formed by the duo and their supporters after their expulsion from the AAP, said they are “seriously thinking” about contesting the assembly elections in Punjab.
“We intend to launch a political party soon, but no date has been fixed. But yes, we are seriously thinking about contesting Punjab polls,” a senior Swaraj Abhiyan leader told PTI.
Meanwhile, the party has said it will “back” musician Bhai Baldeep Singh from Khadoor Sahib assembly during by-poll in Punjab next month.
“Swaraj Abhiyan is currently a non-political organisation and we don’t hope to launch the party by next month. Bhai Baldeep Singh will contest as an independent and will be backed by Swaraj Abhiyan. We will be putting all our weight behind him,” he said.
Bhai Baldeep Singh, who is also a part of the national executive of the organisation, said, “Swaraj Abhiyan’s support is crucial for the polls.”
Yadav and other Abhiyan leaders are also expected to campaign for Singh next month.
The decision to support Singh was taken on Sunday. He had contested 2014 Lok Sabha polls on AAP ticket from Khadoor Sahib, but had lost.
The seat fell vacant after Congress MLA Ramanjit Singh Sikki resigned from the Assembly in protest against the sacrilege incidents in the state.

Stepping up attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over alleged corruption in DDCA during his tenure, the AAP today posed more questions to him, saying it would continue to raise its voice against graft in the state cricket body.
AAP leader Sanjay Singh alleged that the Finance Minister has sent a legal notice to him and his colleague Ashutosh “through” Lokesh Sharma, who is Managing Director of private firm 21st Century Media, and said that they are ready to face one thousand such legal notices and will not be deterred from exposing “corruption” in DDCA.
Jaitley has strongly rejected the allegations calling them a propaganda technique of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to deflect attention when he himself was in the “dock” following a CBI raid in Delhi Secretariat.
Addressing a press conference here, Singh accused Jaitley of trying to “suppress” alleged corruption which had taken place in Delhi and District Cricket Association under his watch by sending legal notice.
Yesterday, the Aam Aadmi Party had posed five questions to the minister, saying that they would continue to query him on the alleged corruption in the DDCA.
The AAP leader claimed that they are getting papers pertaining to DDCA’s alleged corruption from several persons across the country.
Following a CBI raid in Delhi Secretariat in connection with charges against Kejriwal’s Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar, AAP has been claiming that the central agency carried out the searches to target the AAP chief and was looking for a file relating to alleged graft in DDCA.
Since then the party has been demanding resignation of Jaitley from the Union Cabinet.

[New Delhi,] AAP’s Rioting MLA Akhilesh Tripathi Sent To 2 Days Judicial Custody
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Akhilesh Tripathi was today held in a 2013 case of rioting and criminal intimidation and sent to judicial custody for two days by a Delhi court, the fifth lawmaker of the ruling party to be arrested.
In pursuance of non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued against Tripathi by the court earlier for his non-appearance, he was brought by police to the court which sent him to jail till November 28.
Metropolitan Magistrate Kapil Kumar ordered that the MLA, an accused in the 2013 rioting case, be taken into custody while noting his conduct of not complying with court’s order directing him to appear.
In 2013, an FIR was registered against Tripathi+Rahul Kumar+Vikas Mandal+Inder Vikram Singh + Kanhaiya Kumar Jha for alleged offences under Sections 147 (punishment for rioting), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapon), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), 323 (causing simple hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (north west) Vijay Singh said the MLA “has been arrested and taken into custody in pursuance to court order.”
Tripathi is the fifth MLA of the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party to be arrested.
[1]Surinder Singh, AAP MLA from Delhi Cantonment, was arrested in August for allegedly assaulting an NDMC employee and was later granted bail.
[2]Former Delhi Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar was held in a fake educational degree case in June and
[3]Kondli legislator Manoj Kumar was apprehended in July in connection with a land fraud case.
[4]AAP MLA Somnath Bharti was arrested in September after he surrendered in connection with the attempt to murder and domestic violence case filed by his wife.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had early this month complained against Delhi Police to Union Home Ministry accusing it of trying to “hound” ruling AAP MLAs by reopening old cases and creating new ones against them.

Congress today demanded probe into allegations of corruption against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his ministers with regard to purchase of various items and other issues.
Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken met Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) chief M K Meena at his office and filed a complaint demanding registration of an FIR against Kejriwal and his ministers on allegations of “corruption and impropriety” in purchase of sugar+onion + water, as well as in distribution of party tickets for Delhi elections,
Congress leader Pramod Kumar said.”The DPCC delegation Led By Maken also requested Meena to file an FIR against Kejriwal and his former and present ministers for their alleged roles in corruption,”
Maken said “two of the AAP government ministers were involved” and removed on corruption charges.
“The role of Kejriwal and others should also be probed as Kejriwal had handpicked the ministers on his own, despite opposition from his party members and he cannot absolve himself of these charges,” Maken said.
