Guards+Sikhs+CISF Awarded Best Marching Contingents on Republic Day
[New Delhi]Brigade of Guards+Sikh Regiment +CISF Awarded Best Marching Contingents on Republic Day
CISF Also received the trophy for being the best marching contingent among para- military forces.
The Brigade of The Guards and the Sikh Regiment were collectively awarded the “Best Marching Contingents Trophy for Republic Day Parade 2015” by Chairman Chief of Staff Committee, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, during an award ceremony held at Ministry of Defence, New Delhi on 11 Feb 2015.
Capt Aditya Tanwar, Brigade of The Guards Contingent Commander along with Brig DV Singh, Centre Commandant, the Guards Regimental Centre and Lt Vikram Grewal, Sikh Regiment Contingent Commander along with Brig KBK Kesab, Centre Commandant, the Sikh Regimental Centre, jointly received the Trophy.
Gen Dalbir Singh, The Chief of the Army Staff, Lt Gen Ashok Singh, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Southern Command and ‘Colonel’ of The Brigade of The Guards and Lt Gen G S Shergill, Chief of Staff, Central Command and ‘Colonel’ of the Sikh Regiment & other Senior Officers from MoD and Paramilitary Force were present for the Award Ceremony.
Later, The COAS also presented cash awards to the contingents of the Brigade of the Guards and Sikh Regiment in a separate ceremony.

लेफ्टि. जनरल (सेवानिवृत्त) जेएफआर जैकब ने आज अपनी पुस्तकें ‘एन ओडिसी इन वार एंड पीस: एन ऑटोबायोग्राफी लेफ्टि. जनरल जेएफआर जैकब’ और ‘सरेंडर एट ढाका’ प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी को भेंट की। तीनों सेनाओं के प्रमुख भी इस अवसर पर मौजूद थे।

रक्षा मंत्री ने आईडीएस मुख्यालय भवन की आधारशिला रखी|तीनो सेनाओं का एकीकृत यह देश का पहला और विश्व में पांचवां परिसर है|
रक्षा मंत्री श्री अरुण जेटली ने आज दिल्ली कैंट स्थित मेहरामनगर में एकीकृत रक्षा कर्मचारी (आईडीएस) मुख्यालय भवन परिसर के लिए आधारशिला रखी।
इस अवसर पर श्री जेटली ने देश की एकता और विविधता की रक्षा करने में सशस्त्र बलों की कर्तव्यनिष्ठा के लिए बेहद सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि भविष्य के प्राय: सभी संचालन, चाहे वे देश के भीतर हों या बाहर, त्रिस्तरीय सेवा संचालन का रूप लेने जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि बल के मनमुताबिक इस्तेमाल तक पहुंच के लिए सेवाओं के बीच तालमेल कायम करना काफी महत्वपूर्ण है।
अपने स्वागत भाषण में सेना प्रमुख जनरल बिक्रम सिंह ने संक्षिप्त रूप से आईडीएस स्थापना के इतिहास और उसके आधार की चर्चा की। उन्होंने कहा कि कारगिल समीक्षा समिति रिपोर्ट और मंत्रियों के समूह के सुझाव के आधार पर एकीकृत रक्षा कर्मचारी की स्थापना भारत सरकार की ओर से अक्तूबर 2001 में की गई थी। एकीकृत रक्षा कर्मचारी के गठन का उदेद्श्य सीओएससी अध्यक्ष के लिए एक सचिवालय उपलब्ध कराना, रक्षा संकट प्रबंधन समूह (डीसीएमजी) के गठन को आसान बनाना, तीनों सेवाओं के लिए वित्तीय और बजटीय प्रस्तावों का समन्वय करना और रक्षा मंत्री के सामने प्रस्तावों का समन्वित सेट प्रस्तुत करना था।
प्रस्तावित आईडीएस परिसर का बहुमंजिला भवन दिल्ली कैंट के मेहरामनगर में एनएसजी मुख्यालय के निकट 10.57 एकड़ भूमि में बनकर तैयार होगा। इस परिसर में कार्यालय भवन, ऑफिसर मेस कम्पलेक्स, सिगनल इंटेलीजेंस निदेशालय, सेंटर फॉर ज्वाइंट वारफेयर स्टडीज, आईडीएस कैम्प मुख्यालय और खेल परिसर शामिल होंगे।
इस कार्यक्रम में अन्य लोगों के अलावा नौसेना प्रमुख एडमिरल आर.के.धोवन, वायु सेना प्रमुख एयर चीफ मार्शल अरूप राहा, रक्षा सचिव श्री आर.के. माथुर और सीआईएससी ले. जन. अनिल चैत ने भाग लिया।

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha and President Of Air Force Wives Welfare Association [AFWWA], Mrs Lily Raha are on a day’s visit to Air Force Station Chabua, (Eastern most Air base of the Indian Air Force) on 09 Apr 14.
Chief Marshal was received by Air Cmde MK Rao, Air Officer Commanding and his wife Mrs Linda Rao. On his arrival, the CAS was given a ceremonial guard of honour. During his visit the CAS flew a sortie on SU-30 MKI and interacted with the air warriors of the station
