Khattar govt in Haryana has directed sportspersons employed with it to deposit one-third of their earnings from commercial and professional commitments to the state sports council, drawing sharp criticism from the athletes.
“One-third of the income earned by the sportsperson from professional sports or commercial endorsements will be deposited with the Haryana State Sports Council. The money shall be used for the development of sports in the State,” said the notification issued by Principal Secretary (Sports and Youth Department), Ashok Khemka.
Khemka had hit the headlines during his stint as head of land registration department by alleging irregularities in land deals involving Robert Vadra a few years ago.
The Haryana government had earlier courted controversy when it had decided to reduce the prize money for those Commonwealth Games medal winners from the state who were employed with other departments or states.
The felicitation function planned for the prize money distribution on April 26 had to be eventually cancelled indefinitely when the athletes threatened to boycott it.

Whistle blower IAS officer Ashok Khemka met Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki here today, a day after the officer described his transfer by BJP-led Haryana government to Archaeology and Museums Department as “painful”.
Away from the media glare, Khemka met the Haryana Governor at his residence here in the evening today and spent some time with him. However, no detail was available about what transpired at the meeting.
Senior IAS officer Khemka yesterday termed Haryana government’s order of transferring him as “painful”, saying despite “entrenched interests”, he strived hard to fight corruption.
Khemka, who shot into limelight after he questioned Robert Vadra’s land deals in Haryana, also had said he “tried hard to address corruption and bring reforms in Transport department despite severe limitations and entrenched interests.”
“This moment is truly painful,” 49-year-old Khemka, who has a doctorate in Computer Science besides a Master’s degree in Economics and an MBA degree, had said in a tweet yesterday.
Khemka was moved to Archaeology and Museums Department from the post of Commissioner-Secretary Haryana Transport department by the BJP Government in the state on April 1.

Ashok Khemka, a senior IAS officer of Haryana, said on Thursday that his action in Vadra-DLF land-licence deal has been “vindicated in the CAG report but he continues to suffer the stigma of charge sheet.”
During the B S Hooda-led Congress government, the official had ordered the scrapping of the land deal between Skylight Hospitality Pvt Ltd Of Robert Vadra and DLF, terming it as illegal. However, Hooda government gave clean chit to Vadra in the land deal And issued Chargesheet to this whistle blower.
Reacting to the CAG report.On Twitter he said “My action in VADRA-DLF land-licence deal vindicated in CAG report, but continue to suffer the stigma of chargesheet,”
In another tweet he said, “Real culprits sit in judgement over me. My pain and suffering may help to detox and cleanse the body politic.”

२१ साल कि नौकरी में तबादलों के ४० दंश झेल चुके श्री खेमका के अनुसार श्री वढेरा ने गुड़गांव में 3.53 एकड़ जमीन के लिए दस्तावेजों में हेरफेर की और एक कमर्शियल कॉलोनी के लाइसेंस पर भारी-भरकम राशि जेब में रखी. खेमका ने कहा कि जमीन के सौदे के म्यूटेशन को रद्द किए जाने वाले उनके फैसले पर तुरंत अमल होना चाहिए। यदि इस मामले में कोई पक्ष असंतुष्ट हो तो वह कोर्ट का रुख कर सकता है।

कांग्रेस नेता संजय झा ने कहा कि घोटाले का आरोप लगाने वाले आईएएस अधिकारी अशोक खेमका को कोर्ट जाना चाहिए.
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार खेमका ने राबर्ट वढेरा की जमीन के सौदे के मामले में हरियाणा सरकार को सौंपी गई अपनी रिपोर्ट में कहा है कि राबर्ट वाड्रा ने गुडगांव में गलत दस्तावेजों के जरिए जमीन का सौदा किया। यह मामला गुड़गांव के शिकोहपुर में साढ़े तीन एकड़ जमीन का है। यह वही जमीन है जिसके सौदे की जांच करने के बाद आईएएस खेमका ने जमीन की रजिस्ट्री को ही रद्द कर दिया था।
वढेरा और डीएलएफ के बीच डील में हुई कथित धांधली के आरोप लगने के बाद हरियाणा सरकार ने अक्टूबर 2012 में जांच समिति गठित की थी। इस समिति ने खेमका से सौदा रद्द कर पर जवाब मांगा था। मई 2013 को खेमका ने जवाब के तौर पर अपनी 100 पेज की रिपोर्ट समिति को सौंपी।
रिपोर्ट सौंपने के तीन महीने के बाद भी इस पर कोई फैसला नहीं लिया गया है।
