(Chd,Hary)Khattar Again Appeals to Migrant Workers to Stay Back
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday reiterated his appeal to migrant workers engaged in industries not to leave and to instead start working in manufacturing units that have been allowed to resume operations, saying the coronavirus situation in the state was much better.
He said migrants must compare the situation in their native places with that in Haryana before making a decision.
On Wednesday, the first special train from Hisar carrying 1,200 migrant workers left for Katihar in Bihar
A few days ago, Khattar had told the migrant workers that “you may not have visited your homes in one or two years, you maybe homesick or under pressure from your families to go back. But during this time of crisis, we will not let you face any difficulty and ensure your jobs remain secure as you resume work in these units which are now restarting”.

(Gurgaon, Haryana)Khattar Pays Tributes To Gandhi By Cleaning Roads
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar took part in a ‘Swachhta’ campaign and asked people to take a pledge to keep the country clean.
Paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary, Khattar said, “He taught us the best way to know oneself is to immerse oneself in the service of others”.
On the occasion, Khattar also picked up a broom to promote the cause of cleanliness.
He was accompanied among others by his Minister Rao Narbir Singh, sitting MLA from Badshahpur, who has been denied ticket for the October 21 assembly polls from the seat.
Khattar also paid tributes to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary.

Haryana’s main opposition Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) MLA, Hari Chand Middha, died at a private hospital in Delhi,
He was 76.
He was cremated with full state honours in Jind today
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar paid tributes and laid a wreath on the mortal remains of Middha.
The chief minister said Middha was “not only a leader with clean image, but also a great human being”.

[Chd,Haryana]Khattar Govt Increases Guest Teachers Salary
The Haryana government has decided to increase salary of guest teachers by nearly 25 per cent, Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said today.
Besides, women guest teachers have been given five additional days of casual leave
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had accorded approval to this proposal.
“The monthly salary of PGT or lecturer (guest teachers) has been increased to Rs 36,000 from Rs 29,715, whereas the salary of TGT and C and V guest teachers has been increased to Rs 30,000 from Rs 24,001, and the salary of JBT and C and V guest teachers has been increased to Rs 26,000 from Rs 21,715,”
The women guest teachers used to get 15 days casual leave in a year, which has been increased to 20 days.

[Chd,Haryana]Khattar Demands Haryana’s Share in Punjab University
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today urged the central government for restoration of Haryana’s share in Punjab University, Chandigarh.
This comes days after Khattar reiterated Haryana’s claim on Chandigarh, asking Punjab to consider making New Chandigarh its capital.
Under the provision of Section 26 of the Punjab University Act, prior to 1966, the colleges situated in the then State of Punjab were affiliated to the PU.
After the establishment of the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjabi University, Patiala, and Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, notifications were issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in 1969, the Punjab government in 1970 and the Haryana government in 1973 and 1997, whereby the PU ceased to operate in Haryana.
Khattar explained that the process of restoration of Haryana’s share in the PU is required in view of the fact that over the years the composition and character of Chandigarh has evolved as a larger entity, that is tricity. Besides, a large number of students from Haryana take admission in various advanced and professional courses of the PU,
Just two days ago, while reiterating Haryana’s claim on Chandigarh, Khattar had asked Punjab to make New Chandigarh its capital, leave Chandigarh to Haryana, and cooperate in solving the water issue by sitting across the table.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh had categorically rejected Khattar’s suggestion to set up a statutorily empowered and dedicated board or authority for homogeneous development of Chandigarh, the joint capital of Haryana and Punjab.

[Chandigarh] Khattar And Amarinder Calls Punjab Assembly’s Decision On SYL,UNCONSTITUTIONAL
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar And Congress Punjab Chief Capt Amarinder Singh Opposed the resolution passed by the Punjab Assembly to levy “cost and royalty” on water being supplied to the state as “unconstitutional”.
Capt Amarinder Singh Called SAD Action “irrational and illogical”,
Asserting that Punjab is facing acute water crisis, he said the question of give water to its non-riparian neighbours does not arise.
.The state Congress chief said all pre-independence precedents, as cited in the resolution, had been overruled by the Act of 1955, which categorically laid down that all water sharing will be free of cost.
He accused Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal of trying to mislead and cheat the people of Punjab of its rightful due.
The state Congress chief claimed the centre itself had declared 3/4th of Punjab as “dark zone” on account of the acute water scarcity in the region.
Referring to another resolution passed in the special session, he said, “What do they mean by saying that the state government should not give the SYL land to the centre or any central agency, when there is no SYL land left now, in the wake of the Denotification Bill.
