, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said her (Pragya)remarks hailing Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse in the Lok Sabha marked a sad day in the history of Parliament.
Thakur created a controversy on Wednesday with her remark in the Lower House of Parliament during DMK member A Raja’s narration of a statement by Nathuram Godse before a court on why he killed Mahatma Gandhi.

Gandhi’s remarks came after the prime minister on Tuesday called the opposition as “poster boys of Pakistan” for seeking proof of IAF’s action on a terror camp in Balakot in Pakistan.
“He is the Pakistan’s poster boy, not us”, said Gandhi, hitting back at Modi for having publicly hugged Sharif during his swearing-in ceremony and later when he visited Pakistan to wish him on his birthday.
The Congress president also attacked the prime minister for inviting Pakistan’s spy agency ISI to India to probe the Pathankot terror attack.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi has formed a jumbo state Congress committee in Himachal Pradesh which includes 15 vice presidents, 18 general secretaries and 68 secretaries.
Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh’s son Vikramaditya has been appointed as a general secretary in the rejigged committee in the hill state.
Virbhadra and his wife Pratibha, a former MP, have been made permanent invitees to the Himachal Congress committee.
Gandhi also gave his approval to appoint 17 new district Congress chiefs under the new President of Himachal Pradesh PCC Kuldeep Singh Rathore.
