दलित छात्र रोहित वेमुला की आत्महत्या को लेकर प्रदर्शन कर रहे लोगों को पीटने का एक वीडियो सामने आने के बाद दिल्ली पुलिस आज आलोचनाओं के घेरे में आ गयी है| प्रदर्शनकारियों में महिलाएं भी शामिल थीं। वीडियो में पुलिसकर्मी आरएसएस मुख्य कार्यालय के बाहर प्रदर्शनकारियों को पीटते और महिला प्रदर्शनकारियों को उनके बाल पकड़कर घसीटते दिखाई दे रहे हैं।
शनिवार की घटना का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो गया जिसपर तीखी प्रतिक्रियाएं आ रही है |
दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविन्द केजरीवाल ने आरोप लगाया कि इस राजनीतिक शासन के तहत पुलिस बल का आरएसएस और भाजपा की ‘निजी सेना’ के तौर पर इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है जो देश भर के छात्रों के साथ ‘युद्धरत’ है।

पिछले महीने हैदराबाद विश्वविद्यालय के रोहित ने आत्महत्या कर ली थी जिसे लेकर देश भर में आक्रोश पैदा हुआ।
वीडियो को लेकर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए दिल्ली पुलिस आयुक्त बी एस बस्सी ने कहा कि उन्होंने वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को मामले की जांच का निर्देश दिया है और देखने के लिए कहा है कि क्या किसी तरह की ‘विवेकहीनता’ हुई है।
उधर छात्राओं पर पुलिस की बेरहमी को लेकर सी वाई एस एस [CYSS ]ने बीजेपी मुख्यालय पर किया प्रदर्शन
आम आदमी पार्टी की छात्र इकाई ‘छात्र युवा संघर्ष समिति’ (CYSS) ने सोमवार को हाल ही में पुलिस द्वारा छात्राओं की बर्बर पिटाई के मुद्दे को लेकर बीजेपी और दिल्ली पुलिस के खिलाफ़ प्रदर्शन किया।
सीवाईएसएस के छात्र कार्यकर्ताओं ने बीजेपी मुख्यालय पर प्रदर्शन करते हुए बीजेपी पर दिल्ली पुलिस का कठपुतली के तौर पर इस्तेमाल करने का आरोप लगाया।

Sensing victory, scores of ABVP youths had begun dancing to drumbeats and distributed sweets and burst crackers as the Delhi University Students’ Union poll results were being announced.
Once the final results were announced, all the four winners, DUSU
[1]president, Satender Awana
[2] vice president, Sunny Dedha,
[3] secretary, Anjali Rana,
[4] joint secretary, Chhattarpal Yadav
were garlanded and taken out on the shoulders of the supporters from the counting venue in the varsity.
A victory procession on a convoy of cars was taken led by the winners seated atop a jeep was taken out to the Swami Vivekanand statue at University Plaza where ABVP Delhi secretary Saket Bahuguna announced ABVP’s victory.
“It’s a victory of ABVP organisation as well as ideology of nationalism. Victory of our candidates has been ensured by our year long struggle on students related issues on the campus and also because of our strong organisation having dedicated workers,” he said.
Sunny Dedha, the vice president of DUSU said, “It’s a victory of ABVP volunteers who worked hard during campaigning.
We will now focus on various issues and schemes for students and work on them for a better campus environment.
Anjali Rana who was overwhelmed by her victory too expressed similar sentiments promising to work for security of girl students of DU.
Chhattarpal Yadav, who won the Joint Secretary post said, “Our victory is a message for those who appeared on campus during the elections only while we worked continuously in the interests of students.”

He is a second year B.A. Prog student from PGDAV college. He has served as PGDAV Student Union Central Councillor 2014-15. He has actively worked for the welfare of student.community.
[2]Rahul Raj Aryan – Secretary
A student of Hindu College.He is a final year student of M.A. Pol(H) Hindi.He is a university gold medalist and a national level debater.
[3]Garima Rana – Vice President
She is a state level badminton player. Holding a brilliant academic record she was a merit holder at state level. She is a second year Zoology(H) student at Hindu college.
[4]Hitanshi Chauhan – Joint Secretary
She is a second year B.A. Prog student at Satyawati College(M). She was student union Central Councillor 2014-2015. She is a university level debater.
