AAP today demanded sacking of Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi alleging that he misguided people on police entering Kerala House to investigate a complaint about beef being served in its canteen.
“It was an illegal raid and then the Delhi Police Commissioner has the cheek to misguide people and to cite a law which is not relevant,” AAP leader Ashutosh told reporters at Kerala House.
“The Delhi Police Commissioner who misguided the nation and media has no business to continue in his post, either he should resign or he should be sacked,” he said.
AAP leaders Ashutosh, Somnath Bharti, incharge of Kerala unit of party, and Raghav Chadha visited Kerala House and adressed a press conference outside its premises.
Asked about the Delhi government’s role in verifying whether beef was served at Kerala House, Ashutosh said “the Delhi government will act when there will be information that something illegal is taking place. We believe nothing illegal or unlawful is taking place here.”

Delhi Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar was today arrested on charges of cheating and fraud in obtaining his law degree, a development that immediately triggered a strong attack by the ruling AAP against Centre calling it political vendetta.
The arrest of 49-year-old Tomar, MLA from Trinagar and a first time minister, comes in the midst of a running battle between the AAP government and Lt Governor Najeeb Jung over the powers of the city government, giving it a new political twist.
Police arrested Tomar, who claims a law degree from a University in Bihar which his rivals have alleged is fake, from his house and took him to Vasant Vihar police station for questioning.
Police sources said he has been arrested in the alleged fake degree case in which an FIR was registered against him last night in Hauz Khas Police Station.
He has been accused of cheating, forgery, forgery with purpose of cheating and criminal conspiracy under various sections of IPC.
A police team had gone to Bihar on the direction of High Court to investigate charges that he had obtained a fake degree.
Hauz Khas police station in south Delhi was heavily barricaded and a large contingent of police deployed there.
Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi refused to respond to queries on the arrest.
Soon after the arrest, AAP leaders Like Ashutosh+Kumar Vishvas+Sanjay Singh unleashed an attack on the Modi government against what they claimed was an “illegal and unconstitutional” action against a duly elected MLA and a minister.

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने दिल्ली के पुलिस आयुक्त श्री बी. एस. बस्सी को बुलाया और राजधानी में बढ़ती अपराध दर पर गहरी चिंता व्यक्त की। प्रधानमंत्री ने पुलिस आयुक्त को उपद्रवों की हाल की घटनाओं की तेजी से जांच करने एवं यह सुनिश्चित करने को कहा कि अपराधियों को दंड मिले। श्री बस्सी ने मीडिया को जानकारी देते हुए बताया के किसी जानकार द्वारा ही इस चोरी की घटना को अंजाम दिया गया है दोषियों को शीघ्र गिरफ्तार कर लिया जाएगा |दिल्ली कमिश्नर बस्सी ने बताया कि उन्हें प्रधानमंत्री ने वसंत विहार हादसे के बारे में पूछने के लिए बुलाया था, और वह हाल के दिनों में ईसाई समुदाय के प्रमुख संस्थानों हो रहे हमले से परेशान दिखे. इस पर पीएम ने चिंता जताई और कहा कि ऐसी वारदातों के लिए गंभीरता दिखाने की जरूरत है|
प्रधानमंत्री ने केंद्रीय गृह सचिव श्री एल. सी. गोयल से भी टेलीफोन से बातचीत की। प्रधानमंत्री ने गृह सचिव को बढ़ते अपराधों तथा उपद्रवों पर विशेष ध्यान रखने तथा राजधानी में महिलाओं की रक्षा एवं सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने की दिशा में काम करने को कहा।केंद्रीय मंत्री स्मृति जुबिन ईरानी ने भी स्कूल में जाकर घटना की जानकारी प्राप्त की
