[New Delhi]Delhiite Babus Lodge Their “Anguish” Over Assault On Anshu Prakash
A delegation of AGMUT Cadre I.A.S Association, Delhi Administrative Subordinate Services (DASS), DANICS officers’ association, Delhi Jal Board, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), engineers and Delhi Government Employees Welfare Association met Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh here today. The delegation was led by Ms Manisha Saxena, Secretary, AGMUT Cadre I.A.S. Association.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed deep anguish over the incident of alleged assault and misbehaviour with Shri Anshu Prakash, Chief Secretary, Delhi Government on February 20, 2018. The resolutions passed by IAS associations of all States/UTs and other services such as IPS, IRS, IFoS and various officers/employees associations of Government of NCT of Delhi were also presented to the Minister.
The delegation also mentioned about the previous such incidents when the officers were assaulted in past.The delegation demanded that there should be clear guidelines while functioning in the administration.
In response, Dr Jitendra Singh said that it is the responsibility of DoPT to ensure that bureaucrats and officers are treated with dignity and provided a work-friendly environment. The Minister assured that the concerns expressed by the officers in their resolution will be discussed with the concerned authorities.

केन्‍द्रीय पूर्वोत्‍तर क्षेत्र विकास राज्‍य मंत्री (स्‍वतंत्र प्रभार), डॉ. जितेन्‍द्र सिंह के अनुसार पूर्वोत्‍तर क्षेत्र का स्‍वयं का फिल्‍म संस्‍थान होगा। डॉ. जितेन्‍द्र नई दिल्‍ली के सिरीफोर्ट ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित 3 दिवसीय पूर्वोत्‍तर फिल्‍म समारोह के दौरान, मणिपुर के जाने माने ‘’ग्रांड प्रिक’’ और ‘’राष्‍ट्रीय पुरस्‍कार ‘’ विजेता फिल्‍म निर्माता श्री अरिबम स्‍याम शर्मा के लिए आयोजित अभिनंदन समारोह में अपने विचार व्‍यक्‍त कर रहे थे।
डॉ. जितेन्‍द्र सिंह ने कहा कि संपूर्ण पूर्वोत्‍तर क्षेत्र प्राकृतिक खूबसूरती से सराबोर है जिनकी तुलना दुनिया के सर्वाधिक खूबसूरत स्‍थलों से की जा सकती है लेकिन दुर्भाग्‍य से इस क्षेत्र की इस अपार क्षमता का फिल्‍म जगत ने कम उपयोग किया है।
उन्‍होंने केन्‍द्रीय वित्‍त और सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री श्री अरूण जेटली को अरूणाचल प्रदेश में एक फिल्‍म संस्‍थान की स्‍थापना के लिए अपने बजट में शामिल करने के लिए धन्‍यवाद दिया। इससे ना सिर्फ पूर्वोत्‍तर में फिल्‍म उद्योग को बढ़ाने में मदद मिलेगी बल्‍कि बॉलीवुड, टॉलीवुड और देश के अन्‍य क्षेत्र के फिल्‍म निर्माता भी इसका लाभ उठा सकेगें।

[New Delhi]Massachusetts Institute students call on Dr. Jitendra Singh And Learned Modi’s Success In Indian Heterogeneous Society
A group of 40 students from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), School of Management, Massachusetts, USA hailing from different parts of the world called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh, The students are on an India itinerary, as a part of which, they undertook a trip to important offices and Ministries of the Government of India in New Delhi.
In an interaction, the students engaged Dr. Jitendra Singh in a discussion on a variety of subjects ranging from India’s perspective and future road map particularly in the context of the Narendra Modi Government’s ten months rule. They also quizzed Dr. Jitendra Singh about the lesser known facets of his personal life and his journey from a medical professional, Diabetologist and author to an important Minister in the Modi Government.
Giving a lucid account of India in the 21st century and Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s vision, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, India is on a fast track on the road to self-sufficiency and economic empowerment. Next few years, India is set to achieve its goals of becoming a world power, he added. When asked what were, possible hurdles in the path of India’s journey to progress, Dr. Jitendra Singh explained that India is a heterogeneous society with a huge population and several diversities living under same nationality. These factors are a distinguishing feature of India and though sometimes these may cause some disadvantage, in many ways these also offer an advantage and are a part of Indian civilizations cherished heritage, he observed.
