Lok Sabha members today joined the row over wrestler Narsingh Yadav failing a drug test,
Ranjeet Ranjan (Cong) raised the issue in the Zero Hour and sought a CBI inquiry into the matter
As many other members joined her and sought the government’s response,
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs S S Ahluwalia Ahluwalia said he will convey their sentiments to the government and seek an official response.
He noted that the matter was raised in the Question Hour too.

Punjabi American Community in North America [NAPA] has offered to do the act of a ‘philanthropist’ for Drugs Addict youths of Punjab
NAPA Says that Drugs addiction and multi-million drug nexus have infected the blood of 73.5 % of these youths under the very presence of the Border Security Force+ The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence+ The Narcotics Control Bureau + Intelligence Bureau. These security personnel’s vigilance is marked as ‘mutilated’ and compel them to stand as ‘bystanders’ to watch the destruction of Punjabi youths.
NAPA Has Released a mail from Washington U S A which goes as Satnam Singh Chahal, executive director North American Punjabi Association (NAPA), revealed the fact that a major share of funds provided by the NRI Punjabi Community members was spent on the education of poverty-stricken and needy children’s and their relatives. As per demand of time, the same Punjabi community of NRIs is contributing to draw these youths from the web of drug addiction for saving their life.NAPA Says that this drug addiction is not a new problem but inclination of almost a whole new generation towards recreational drugs is a dangerous signal. It is warned that An ‘in time immediate action’ against it is an inevitable call of the day, otherwise, the gloomy days are ahead.
While targeting central and Punjab state Governments Chahal says that it’s hard to gulp the cold reality that the central as well as the state government is in cocoon and is keeping its eyes closed ignoring this sinister plot of drug-addiction that lead to paralyzing the country’s pride ‘Punjab’ .
President of India conferred National Awards For Sports:Arjuna Award For Renjith Maheshwari withheld
President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee here today conferred the[1] Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award,[2] Dronacharya Awards,[3] Arjuna Awards, [4]Dhyan Chand Awards, [5]Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards,[6] Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy and [7]Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar at a specially organised function at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, Withholding Arjuna Award in respect of Renjith Maheshwari . Renjith Maheshwari, who was selected for Arjuna Award 2013, had tested[ conflicting reports ] positive for banned stimulant, ephedrine during the 48th Open National Athletics Meet held at Kochi and that the Athletics Federation of India had suspended Shri Maheshwari for three months. Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports decides to withhold this award till completion of enquiries.

.National Sports Awards are given every year to recognize and reward excellence in sports. Apart from a medal and a citation, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee received a cash prize of Rs.7.5 lakh. Arjuna, Dronacharya and Dhyan Chand Awardees received statuettes, citations and cash prize of Rs.5 lakh each.
Ms. P.V. Sindhu, Badminton a winner of Arjuna Award 2013 was not present at the award ceremony.
