Helping Tainted IPL Mughal Lalit Modi Is Legally+Morally Wrong:BJP MP R K Singh

[New Delhi]Helping Tainted IPL Mughal Lalit Modi Is Legally+Morally Wrong:BJP MP R K Singh
BJP MP R K Singh today struck a discordant note over party leaders [MEA] Sushma Swaraj + [CM Raj]Vasundhara Raje extending help to former IPL boss Lalit Modi, saying “any help to a fugitive is legally and morally wrong”.
He urged the government to take all measures to bring him back to India to face the law.
Singh’s strong comments are the first public criticism by a ruling party MP against the help extended to Lalit Modi by External Affairs Minister Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Raje, an issue which has snowballed into a major political storm for the Narendra Modi government even though BJP has defended both the leaders.
“If anybody helps a ‘bhagoda’ (fugitive), it is wrong.
This is wrong legally as well as morally. If anybody meets a fugitive, it is absolutely wrong. Whosoever has helped him, I think it is completely wrong,” Singh, a former Home Secretary, told media
He said Lalit Modi had been evading judicial warrants and summons and he was clearly a fugitive and any help given to him or any meeting with him was wrong.
He did not name either Swaraj or Raje.
Lalit Modi, 49, travelled to London in 2010 after the Indian Premier League (IPL) became embroiled in allegations of match-fixing and illegal betting.

India Has Not Yet Taken Decision on Cricket Series With Pakistan In UAE

[New Delhi]India Has Not Yet Taken Decision on Cricket Series With Pakistan In UAE
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said today that No decision has yet been taken on Indo-Pak cricket series, .
Her remarks came in the backdrop of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan’s recent visit to India to push for resumption of Indo-Pak cricket ties.
Khan, in a joint press statement with BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya in Kolkata, proposed a series comprising three Tests, five ODIs and two T20s in UAE in December this year. The BCCI has, however, not given any categorical statement yet on the proposed series and the venue.
“No decision has been taken. Where has this information come that this (Indo-Pak cricket series) has been decided and that I was not consulted. No decision has been taken,” Swaraj said when asked about the reports that India will be playing bilateral cricket series with Pakistan.
India have not played a full bilateral Test series with Pakistan after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks which led to suspension of cricketing ties between the two countries.
The two nations played a short series of three ODIs and two T20 matches in India in December 2012 but otherwise they have met only in ICC-organised events or the Asia Cup.
Zimbabwe became the first Test nation to tour Pakistan in over six years after international cricket in the country was brought to a halt by the 2009 terror attack on the visiting Sri Lankan team.

“AAP” Party Demanded Updates,On Indians Stranded In Iraq,From Indian MEA

Aam Aadmi Party ,Today, Demanded Updates, On Indians Stranded In Iraq, From External Affairs Minister. The AAP Party demanded that the central government should be more pro-active in ensuring the safe return of Indian workers still stuck in Iraq
As Per Figures provided by aap party Atleast 3,000 Indians are still stranded in armed conflict hit Iraq and there is still no word on the plight of 39 workers abducted by the ISIS, who have now spent more than five weeks in custody.
Atleast 40 such families have started a dharna at Jantar Mantar in the capital, demanding effective from the central government for their release.
Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, along with the four Lok Sabha MPs of the party, met these families today (Tuesday) afternoon.
The families narrated their woes to Kejriwal, in presence of [1]MPs Bhagwant Mann[2]Dr Dharamvira Gandhi[3]Prof Sadhu Singh [4]Harinder Singh Khalsa.
Later, in the evening, Mann accompanied these families to meet the senior officials in the external affairs ministry.
Aap Party Says that .The absence of any information about the plight of 39 abducted countrymen is a matter of grave concern and the external affairs minister Ms Sushma Swaraj should make a statement in Parliament about the latest situation.
The government has made some efforts to get back some Indian workers from Iraq safely back home, but these are highly inadequate. The sense of urgency and emergency response required appears to be missing on the government’s part so far.
The safe return requires a mix of deft diplomacy and use of good offices with friendly countries and the AAP appeals to the government to take all possible steps in this regard.
Aap Says This is not an issue of party politics and the AAP is ready to provide all the help to the government to ensure the safe return of Indian workers from the strife torn region.
