The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following

Gurucharan, IAS (KN:1982) on his appointment as Secretary (Performance Management), Cabinet Secretariat.

केन्द्रीय उपभोक्ता मामले+खाद्य + सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्री श्री राम विलास पासवान ने प्रतिष्ठित राजीव गांधी राष्ट्रीय गुणवत्ता [वर्ष 2012 ]पुरस्कार +प्रशस्ति पत्रों की घोषणा की है।
सभी पुरस्कारों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ पुरस्कार रेल पहिया कारखाना (रेलवे मंत्रालय), बंगलौर ने जीता है।
अन्य श्रेणियों के पुरस्कार विजेताओं में बड़े पैमाने पर निर्माण उद्योग के लिए
शक्ति मसाला प्राइवेट लिमिटेड, इरोड, तमिलनाडु एवं टाटा बिजनेस सपोर्ट सर्विसेज लिमिटेड, हैदराबाद ने तथा
छोटे पैमाने पर निर्माण उद्योग के लिए
इलिन एप्लीयेन्स प्राइवेट लिमिटेड, सोलन. हिमाचल प्रदेश ने पुरस्कार जीता है।
इन पुरस्कारों के अलावा, नौ संगठनों का चयन विभिन्न श्रेणियों के तहत प्रशस्ति प्रमाण पत्रों के लिए किया गया है।
इस पुरस्कार विजेताओं और प्रशस्ति प्रमाणपत्रों को प्राप्त करने वालों का चयन विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के 63 आवेदकों में से किया गया है। इसके लिए विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के योग्यता प्राप्त और प्रशिक्षित व्यावसायिकों के एक दल द्वारा गहन मूल्यांकन किया गया। ये पुरस्कार केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री पासवान द्वारा बाद में आयोजित होने वाले एक समारोह में प्रदान किये जाएंगे।
भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो (बीआईएस) द्वारा विनिर्माण और सेवा संगठनों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए यह पुरस्कार हर वर्ष दिये जाते हैं, ताकि भारत में गुणवत्ता आंदोलन के अग्रणी नेता समझे जाने वाले संगठन श्रेष्ठता और विशेष मानक प्राप्त करने के लिए संघर्ष करें।

Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Prof. K.V.Thomas called on the Pope Francis at Vatican City today.
Indian Minister who is leading the delegation to the 40th FAO Conference on World Food Security at Rome today called on the Pope Francis at Vatican City and submitted a booklet on Food Security Act.
Pope congratulated Prof Thomas and the Government of India for the great initiative to eradicate hunger from India.
