[New Delhi] Central Govt Asks 1350 Dept Canteens to Obtain FSSAI Licences
1,350+ canteens working in various central government departments have been asked to take food safety licences from Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).As per FSS Act, no person shall commence or carry on any food business except under a licence
As per Provision Of Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011.It is the responsibility of respective managing committees to register or obtain licence
Personnel Ministry said “All departmental canteens, tiffin rooms, etc, housed in various offices of central government, are accordingly required to obtain licences to be able to continue to manufacture and sell food,”
.Currently, 1,352 registered canteens and tiffin rooms are functioning in various offices of the central government, all over India.

ओये झल्लेया ये क्या हो रहा है? ओये नेस्ले की मैगी नूडल्स को यूं के+विएतनाम+आस्ट्रेलिया+सिंगापुर आदि के फ़ूड नियामकों ने हानिरहित बता दिया है यहां तक कि हसाडे मुल्क के न्यायधीशों द्वारा भी इसके एक्सपोर्ट की परमिशन दे दी गई है| ऐसे में भारत के ऍफ़एसएसऐआई द्वारा आम उपभोक्ता को इस सस्ती और जल्द बनने वाली नूडल्स से वंचित रखना कहां की दानिश मंदी है?

Punjab today joined the states which have ordered laboratory testing of Maggi noodles samples following allegations of lapses in food safety standards.
Heath and Family Welfare Minister Surjit Kumar Jayani informed to media that . almost 60 samples of Maggi noodles have been collected from various parts of the state for laboratory testing
He said that the samples have been sent for testing in a government laboratory in Amritsar.
BJP quota Minister said “If any lapse is found as per food safety standards, then appropriate action will be taken in this regard,”
The minister said a probe is being conducted by various states into the alleged lapses in food safety standards in popular instant food.
[2] The samples of Maggi instant noodles are being tested at a lab as part of the nationwide exercise over the alleged presence of mono-sodium glutamate (MSG) and lead in their food products.
As per K Amarender Reddy, Director of Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM), 22 samples from state. are collected and sent for screening. Andhra Pradesh shares the lab with Telangana
Tamil Nadu government has also decided to send Nestle’s noodle brand Maggi to the labs
Uttar Pradesh + Kerala have already ordered the retailers in their states to take the product off their shelves.
The Food Safety Department of Tamil Nadu has initiated proceedings in this regard, collecting samples and sending them to laboratories across the state to be examined,
The Central Government had made it clear yesterday that Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is testing more Maggi samples collected from different states following the detection of MSG and lead in excess of the prescribed limit in the noodles.
Last week, a case had been lodged against Nestle India by state food regulator FSDA in a local court at Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh over safety standards of its Maggi, while actors Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta have also been dragged into it for promoting the ‘two-minute’ noodles brand
In Gujarat 39 samples of Maggi noodles have been collected and sent them for laboratory testing.
