CISF Top Brass Surender Singh flagged off FPU Contingent [8th Rotation]for UN Mission in Haiti[Minustah]
,A 140-member squad of paramilitary CISF has been flagged off for rendering United Nations (UN) mandated security duties in Haiti in the Caribbean island.
The contingent, led by Commandant S P Singh, will assist the local police under the umbrella of United Nations Stabilisation Mission In Haiti (MINUSTAH).
The specially chosen squad has undergone training in weapon handling of weapons, crowd control and tackling hostage situations among other security tasks. The contingent will also secure the residence of the Haitian President The team was given a ceremonial send-off by CISF Director General Surender Singh from the forces’ camp
The Central Industrial Security Force is deputed on this UN mission since 2008 and it is its eighth contingent to be deployed in Haiti.
