A tragedy was averted by timely detection of explosives in a market in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Police detected the explosive substance kept in a tin at a market in Safapora area of the district last night,
As per police sources, the explosives were destroyed by bomb disposal squad in an open ground near police station Safapora.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari suspended 21 officials for unauthorised absence from duty, an official spokesman said today.
