To Stabilize the indian economy The Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Shri Anand Sharma arrived in United States of America on a four-day visit from 10th to 13th July, 2013. It has been intimated by the ministry that Shri Sharma will deliver the Opening Keynote address at the US India Business Council’s 38th Leadership Summit on 11th July, 2013
. On the same day, Shri Sharma will also give the opening remarks at the Round table with National Association of Manufacturers. On 12th July, 2013 Shri Sharma will deliver his address at the US-India CEOs Forum Meeting in Washington.
During his stay in US, Shri Sharma is also expected to meet business leaders like Mr. Scott Price, President and CEO of Walmart Asia Mr. Ted Cohen, Head for Global Public Policy, Ebay, among others. Shri Sharma is likely to discuss the issues related to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail and e-commerce by US companies in India.
Apart from these meetings, Shri Sharma is also expected to meet US Secretary of State Mr. John Kerry, US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker, U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman among others.
