[Vrindavan,UP]Modi Praises Dedicated NGO &Serves 3rd Billionth Meal
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi Monday praised the efforts of an NGO towards eradicating hunger from the country.
“I will be in Vrindavan today for a unique programme- to mark the serving of the 3rd billionth meal by the Akshaya Patra Foundation.
PM also unveiled a ceremonial plaque at the event to mark the serving of “3rd billionth meal” by Akshaya Patra Foundation at Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir campus in this holy city.
NGO is Funded by International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Akshaya Patra is a not-for-profit organisation that works on PPP Model with the government on mid-day meal schemes.

PM Narendra Modi meets Ms. Maryam Asif Siddiqui, winner of Bhagavad Gita Champion League Today
Ms. Maryam Asif Siddiqui, a 12 year old student from Mumbai, today called on the Prime Minister, Shri Modi.
She has recently won the Bhagavad Gita Champion League, organized by ISKCON – the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
During her meeting with the Prime Minister, Ms. Maryam donated Rs. 11,000/- each to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, and the Swachhta Abhiyan. The Prime Minister gifted her five books on different religions. He congratulated her for her achievement, and said her interest in various religions is an inspiration for all Indians.
Ms. Maryam was accompanied by her parents, Shri Asif Naseem Siddiqui and Smt. Farhan Asif Siddiqui.
