[Meerut,UP]Lawyers Staged “Rail Roko” For High Court Bench in Western UP,
City lawyers today staged a ‘rail roko’ at the railway station here, demanding setting up of a separate High Court bench in western Uttar Pradesh.
Members of the Central Action Committee (CAC) today stalled the Valsad-Haridwar train at the city railway station and raised slogans demanding a separate bench of the High Court.
The lawyers took off the agitation after one-and-half- hour as senior administrative and police officials arrived the spot and pacified them.
This is a decades old demand And Various Agitations Have been staged since Independence.
Even though, the Central and state governments give assurances of a separate HC bench in western UP, nothing has been done so far in this regard,
Leader Of CAC, Adv.Anil Jangala alleged, adding that they would continue with their agitation till their demand is fulfilled.
