The government on Tuesday repatriated school education secretary Rina Ray to her parent cadre
Ray, a 1984-batch IAS officer of union territories cadre, was in May last year named the secretary, the Department of School Education and Literacy in the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Information and Broadcasting Secretary Amit Khare has been given additional charge of the post of secretary, the Department of School Education and Literacy.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has constituted a High Powered Committee to examine the entire system of conducting Class X and Class XII examination conducted by the CBSE with a view to prevent leakages.
Vinay Sheel Oberoi, Retd. Secretary (Higher Education), MHRD will be the Chairperson of the 7 member High Power Committee.

Ministry of HRD has clarified that the revised fee would be applicable for students taking admission starting from academic year 2016-17 onwards. The students currently studying would continue to pay at the existing rates.
The Directors of all IITs are directed to take necessary action accordingly.

The Union Minister of Human Resource Development Smt. Smriti Irani today dedicated to the nation syllabus and course material for class VIth to Xth prepared by NCERT and training modules for teacher education programmes at the level of Diploma, BEd or MEd degrees prepared by NCTE on yoga. she said that marking system for yoga should contain 80 per cent practical and 20 per cent theory component. The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia, present on the occasion, said that Government of NCT of Delhi would extend its fullest co-operation in implementing the programme.
Swami Atmapriyananda, Vice Chancellor of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University in his keynote address on the occasion said that yoga is meant for holistic development – a complete approach to personality development. Secretary, School Education and Literacy, Dr. S. C. Khuntia in his address spoke of equanimity which means to be able to maintain a balance under any adversities in life.
The conference is being organised as a part of the brand celebration of International Yoga Day which was observed world over on 21st June, 2015. The conference will discuss yoga for holistic development, need of yoga for specially abled children and best practices in yoga

Rajeev Nayan Choubey was made Civil Aviation Secretary And Rita A Teaotia was today appointed as new Commerce Secretary
Teaotia, a 1981 batch IAS officer, is Special Secretary in Department of Telecommunications.
Choubey, also a 1981 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, is Special Secretary in Power Ministry. He will take over from Aviation Secretary V Somasundaram, who has been shifted as Secretary in Ministry of Women and Child Development, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Vice Chairman Balvender Kumar has been made Mines Secretary. Kumar will replace Anup K Pujari, who has been appointed as Secretary in Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises,
Somasundaram has replaced Vinay Sheel Oberoi, who will be Secretary, Department of Higher Education. Oberoi will take charge from Satyanarayan Mohanty who has been made Secretary General, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
Pradeep Kumar Pujari, , is new Power Secretary in place of P K Sinha who was earlier named as next Cabinet Secretary. Pujari is Special Secretary and Financial Adviser in the Department of Agriculture Research and Education.

As Per Ministry Of HRD The delay in filling up of vacant posts of Vice Chancellors of Central Universities is due to various reasons and some of them are as follows:
(i)Scrapping of some of the Search-cum-Selection Committees (SSC) due to some deficiencies and re-constitution of SSCs;
(ii)Time taken by the Universities in providing Executive Council’s nominees for SSC;
(iii)Sometimes Executive Council’s nominees also decline their participation in the selection process and their substitution also takes time;
(iv)Setting up of SSC is time taking process,
(v)Time taken by SSC for selection of Panel for :
(a)Scrutiny of applications,
(b)Shortlisting of suitable candidates
(c) Interaction with shortlisted candidates by SSC
(d) Non-availability of all the members of SSC on common dates for 4-5 sittings for the finalisation of a Panel of candidates

India’s Highly Criticized Education System Has 21 Fake Universities:UGC

[New Delhi]Highly Criticized Education System Has 21 Fake Universities.State Governments Are Proven Incompetent To Close Them Down.
As per information available with the University Grants Commission (UGC), there are 21 Fake Universities which have been listed in the UGC list of Fake Universities and are functioning in contravention or violation of the UGC Act, 1956 in different parts of the country.
These are available on the UGC website According to the UGC, some institutions are offering Undergraduate/ Postgraduate degrees in various subjects which are not established under either Central/State or UGC Act and hence these Fake Universities do not have right to confer/grant any degree.
As per the information received from the UGC, some of the actions have been taken by UGC against these Fake Universities But these are proven inappropriate
(i) All self-styled unrecognized and unapproved institutions are cautioned that running of Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree courses and giving misleading advertisements shall attract severe action under the provisions of appropriate laws including the UGC Act and the Indian Penal Code, etc.
(ii) Cases have also been filed in various courts by UGC against fake universities/institutions.
(iii) The UGC in the interest of general public/students defends the cases in the court. Action relating to closing down the fake institution is to be taken by the concerned state government and local authorities.
(iv) The UGC has also written to the Vice Chancellor/ Director/ In charge of the 21 fake universities to close the down the fake institutions immediately.
(v) Reminder letters to the State/UT Principal Secretaries/Education Secretaries have been issued to take the appropriate action against the Fake Universities located in their jurisdiction.

[नई दिल्ली] यूजीसी को भंग करने का अभी तक कोई निर्णय नहीं लिया गया है:मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री
मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय ने आज उन खबरों का खंडन किया जिनके अनुसार यूंजीसी को भंग किये जाने की बात की जा रही है |मंत्रालय ने स्पष्टीकरण देते हुए कहा कि यूजीसी का गठन संसद के एक अधिनियम के द्वारा किया गया था और इसे एकपक्षीय तरीके से भंग नहीं किया जा सकता।इसीलिए कुछ समाचार माध्यमों में छपी खबर कि यूजीसी को भंग किया जा रहा है, गलत और अवांछित है।मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री ने बताया कि अपेक्षित लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने और बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने की दिशा में यूजीसी को मजबूत बनाने तथा इसके पुनर्गठन की अनुशंसा करने के लिए अनुभवी और विख्यात शिक्षाविदों की एक समिति का गठन किया था। डॉ. हरि गौतम की अध्यक्षता में समिति ने अपनी रिपोर्ट सचिव (उच्चतर शिक्षा) को सौंप दी थी। इस रिपोर्ट की अभी मंत्रालय में जांच की जानी है। समिति को विश्लेषण करने, समीक्षा करने तथा मंत्रालय को अनुशंसा करने के अधिकार दिये गए थे। मंत्रालय इसकी बारीकी से जांच करने के बाद इस पर अपनी राय बनाएगा। इस प्रकार, यूजीसी को भंग करने का कोई ऐसा निर्णय नहीं लिया गया है और इस मामले में कोई भी निर्णय लेने से पहले अनुशंसाओं को समझना तथा उसका विश्लेषण करना बाकी है।

[New Delhi]The Ministry of Human Resource Development,[HRD] Of India is celebrating 2lst February [Today]as Matribhasha Divas all over India with the objective of sensitising people on the need to impart communication skills and proficiency in mother tongue Language festivals will also be held in different places for the first time. India Possesses Rich Heritage Of about 3000 mother tongues
UNESCO has been observing February 21st every year as International Mother Language Day to promote mother tongues and increase awareness of the linguistic and cultural traditions throughout the world.
India possesses a very high linguistic diversity index.. The focus will be on India’s vast and diverse language heritage and on ways and means to preserve and support about 3000 mother tongues
All the schools, colleges, universities and Language related institutions under both Central and State Governments are celebrating the occasion by holding seminars+workshops+special lectures+various competitions for students on the importance of mother tongue.
Some of the unique features of this celebration would be GK competitions on Indian Language Heritage and exhibition on Indian mother tongues. Schools and colleges are encouraged to take up year-long activities to facilitate using one’s own mother tongue better and learning other’s mother tongue faster and also to create a congenial atmosphere for appreciating and encouraging all Indian languages.

मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय [HRD]द्वारा इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय [IGNOU]में की गई विभिन्न खामियों+अनियमितताओं +अत्यधिक कार्रवाई की जाँच के लिए एक के बाद एक समिति बनाई गई हैं |प्रो एसए बरी,[Prof.S.A Bari]वाइस चांसलर,गुजरात केन्द्रीय विश्वविद्यालय के नेतृत्व में एक सदस्य जांच समिति दिनांक २० -१० -२०११ को गठित की थी |उस समय वर्तमान कुलपति प्रो एम असलम कुलपति बने थे जिन्हें बाद में लम्बे अवकाश पर जाने का आदेश दिया गया |
