Prime Minister of India Narendra Bhai Damodar Das Modi on Saturday said the Hindi language has beautifully incorporated simplicity, spontaneity and elegance that provide meaningfulness to expression.
Greeting people on the occasion of ‘Hindi Divas’, the prime minister tweeted in Hindi, “The simplicity, spontaneity and elegance of a language provide meaningfulness to expression. Hindi has incorporated all of these aspects beautifully”.
“हिंदी दिवस पर आप सभी को बहुत-बहुत बधाई। भाषा की सरलता, सहजता और शालीनता अभिव्यक्ति को सार्थकता प्रदान करती है। हिंदी ने इन पहलुओं को खूबसूरती से समाहित किया है।”
Hindi Divas is observed to mark the decision of the Constituent Assembly to extend official language status to Hindi on this day in 1949. Hindi Divas was first observed in 1953.

US President Donald Trump has said that he would discuss with Prime Minister Narendra Modi the situation in Kashmir and help ease the Indo-Pak tensions when they meet at the G7 Summit in France this weekend.Trump’s comments to a question on the tension between India and Pakistan came a day after he made separate phone calls to Prime Minister Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Speaking to reporters at the White House on Tuesday while welcoming visiting Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, Trump said he was happy to try and help calm the situation in Kashmir amidst fresh Indo-Pak tensions after India revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Tensions between India and Pakistan spiked after India abrogated provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution to withdraw Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and bifurcated it into two Union Territories, evoking strong reactions from Pakistan.
India has categorically told the international community that the scrapping of Article 370 of the Constitution to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir was an internal matter and also advised Pakistan to accept the reality

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled 18 feet high statue of former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri on Saturday during his day-long visit to his Lok Sabha constituency .
Modi was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) working president JP Nadda and the state unit chief of the saffron party, Mahendra Nath Pandey.
Anil Shastri and Sunil Shastri, sons of late Lal Bahadur Shastri, were present at the venue as also Uttar Pradesh minister Siddharth Nath Singh, a kin of the former prime minister.
Earlier, Modi arrived at the Babatpur airport here on his second visit to his constituency after winning the parliamentary polls held in April-May.
The prime minister launched a tree-plantation campaign — “Anand Kanan” — in the temple city, he planted a Peepal [Sacred Fig Tree ] PM Modi Also kickstarted the membership drive of the ruling party, coinciding with the 118th birth anniversary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi Friday performed Yoga with around 40,000 enthusiasts at the Prabhat Tara ground here and said everybody should practice the ancient Indian discipline lifelong.
Events to mark the day are being held across the country and several of them are being led by Union ministers, including Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh.
Modi also said the government has been working to make Yoga a pillar of preventive healthcare.
Expressing concern that young people are becoming vulnerable to heart ailments, Modi said, “Yoga can play a huge role in tackling the issue and hence, this year’s theme is ‘Yoga for Heart’.”
He also appealed to the people to take yoga to all sections of society.
.Urging people to make yoga a part of daily life, Modi said, “Peace and harmony are related to Yoga. People across the world must practice it.”
Since 2015, the International Day of Yoga is celebrated annually on June 21.

A similar motion was moved by Home Minister and BJP president Amit Shah, which was supported by Union minister Nitin Gadkari.
The Congress and the DMK had moved notices for a similar motion. But the notices were issued after 12 noon Tuesday, the deadline.
As a special case, pro-tem Speaker Virendra Kumar allowed the motions to be moved.
Birla, who won his first Lok Sabha election in 2014, was again elected this year from Rajasthan’s Kota-Bundi seat.
