[New Delhi] Renewal Of Visas of 2 PIA Officials Is Refused By India
Visas of two Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) officials have not been renewed by India for nearly a month, Pakistan Called It “unfair” and said that it would impair people-to-people contact between the two countries.
As per Sources ,PIA’s Saeed Ahmed Khan and Shabbir Ahmed, who are station managers for the airlines in Delhi and Mumbai respectively, applied on December 21, 2015 for the renewal of their visas valid till January 7, 2016
PIA, the national carrier of Pakistan, is the only airline that provides direct air link between the two countries. It operates three flights from Delhi and two from Mumbai every week.
It is understood that Pakistan has taken up the issue with the External Affairs Ministry and conveyed that delay in renewal of their visas will not help in improvement of bilateral relations especially when the two countries have decided to re-engage.

[Islamabad] Pakistani Pilots,Leaving Flyers Stranded,Go On Strike Mostly Haj Pilgrims Are Suffering
Hundreds of passengers, mostly Haj pilgrims returning from Saudi Arabia, were left stranded today as about 50 flights of Pakistan’s ailing national carrier PIA were cancelled after the pilots went on strike, demanding better pay and working conditions.
The pilots association of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) went on strike yesterday, accusing the management of forcing them to do extra duties.
This strike resulted in the cancellation of at least 50 domestic and international flights.
As per a government official PIA is trying to negotiate with the pilots to call off the strike.
The airline was currently paying about Rs 3.2 billion to the pilots as salary and perks annually.
