Ambassadors of Israel, Mali, Belarus, Lao PDR and Niger presented their credentials to the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (January 10, 2019).
The envoys who presented their credentials were: –
1. Dr Ron Malka, Ambassador of Israel
2. Mr Sekou Kasse, Ambassador of the Republic of Mali
3. Mr Andrei Rzheussky, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus
4. Mr Bounneme Chouanghom, Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic
5. Mr Leko Ado, Ambassador of the Republic of Niger

As a result of which The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has accepted their resignation from the Union Council of Ministers
Further, as advised by the Prime Minister, The President has directed that the work of the Ministry of Civil Aviation will be looked after by the Prime Minister.

The festival of Idu’l Zuha epitomizes trust, compassion, sacrifice and forgiveness. Let us on this day recall the selfless sacrifice made by Hazrat Ibrahim and engage in the service of humanity. Let us strive to lessen the pain of the suffering and needy. May this festival strengthen our efforts to enhance universal brotherhood, peace and harmony in society”.

The above appointments will take effect from the dates the incumbents assume charge of their respective offices.

The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee has sent his good wishes to the Indian contingent in the Rio Olympic Games 2016 on the eve of the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympic Games.
In a message to Rakesh Gupta, Chef-de-Mission, Indian Contingent for the Rio Olympic Games 2016, the President has said,
“I convey my greetings and good wishes to the Indian contingent on the eve of the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympics 2016.
I am sure the Games will be an opportunity for our sports persons to display their talents and test their limits in various sporting disciplines.
These Games will be an opportunity for competing with participants from all over the world in the best traditions of sportsmanship. I urge our sports persons to do their best for the glory of the nation and to promote unity and friendship with sports persons of all participating nations”.

The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee expressed shock and deep sadness over the deadly attack against innocent civilians in Orlando, USA.
In a message to his Counterpart in USA, Barack Obama, the President had said “I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the deadly attack against innocent civilians in Orlando earlier today.
I offer my deepest sympathies to all those who have been affected by this terrible tragedy.
India condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. We believe that there can be no justification for such senseless acts of violence.
This event is yet another grim reminder that the world must come together to address, comprehensively and urgently, the scourge of terrorism, its perpetrators and also those who support or harbour them.
The people of India stand by the people of the United States of America in their moment of grief and mourning. We pray for the families that have lost loved ones and for the swift recovery of the injured”.

five Padma Vibhushan,
eight Padma Bhushan and
forty-three Padma Shri awards tomorrow (March 28, 2016)
at a Civil Investiture Ceremony to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The President will confer the Padma Vishushan on
Shri Dhirubhai Hirachand Ambani (Posthumous),
Shri Avinash Kamalakar Dixit,
Shri Jagmohan,
Dr. Yamini Krishnamuthi and
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar tomorrow.
The awardees who will receive Padma Bhushan from the President are

[New Delhi]President of India Inaugurates Annual “Udyanotsav” In Mughal Gardens .Spiritual Garden+Herbal Garden+Bonsai Garden+ Musical Garden Will Also Be Opened For Members Of Public
The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the annual “Udyanotsav” of the Rashtrapati Bhavan (opening of Mughal Gardens) today
As per President Secretariat The Mughal Gardens will remain open for general public from February 12 to March 19, 2016 (except on Mondays which are maintenance days) between 0930 hrs to 1600 hrs.
Public will also be able to visit the Spiritual Garden+Herbal Garden+Bonsai Garden+ Musical Garden
