Land Grabbers( Roshni ) in J&K Will be Booked:Dr Jitendra Singh

(Reasi/Samba,JK) All Roshni Scamsters in J&K Will be Booked:Dr Jitendra Singh
Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Monday said those who allegedly illegally occupied lands in Jammu and Kashmir under the so called Roshni scam will be brought to book.
Campaigning for BJP candidates contesting the District Development Council (DDC) elections, Singh cautioned farmers against alleged mischievous propaganda being spread by the opposition parties that the government will take away their agricultural and other land as a consequence of the action taken on the Roshni scam.
“In the coming days to come, all these land grabbers (Roshni scam) will be brought to book and the investigation has already got initiated in several cases,”
Singh said the Roshni scamsters and land grabbers are spreading lies about the newly framed land laws for Jammu and Kashmir and trying to save their illegally occupied land from being retrieved by raising a false alarm of poor man’s land being taken away as a result of the new law.

BJP Hits Out Gupkar Leaders Over Roshni Scam in J-K

(New Delhi) BJP Hits Out Gupkar Leaders Over Roshni Scam in J-K
Accusing Congress and National Conference leaders of encroaching large tracts of government and forest land in Jammu and Kashmir, senior BJP leader and Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday demanded a thorough probe into the alleged ‘Roshni scam’.
He said that names of several top politicians, including NC leader Farooq Abdullah and former state ministers from the Congress and the NC have come to the fore for allegedly benefiting from the Roshni Act, which has since been struck down by the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
The Jammu and Kashmir State Land (Vesting of Ownership to the Occupants) Act, 2001 is also known as the Roshni Act.
“There was a conscious loot by powerful people of forest land and getting benefits under the Roshni Act, which has been declared unconstitutional by the high court,” Prasad told reporters.
The Union minister said it is the lowest ebb in a democratic polity. “We condemn it outright,”
