President Donald Trump said
The First Lady and I send our warmest wishes to all those celebrating Diwali this week.
During this Festival of Lights, friends, neighbors, and loved ones join in fellowship to commemorate the spiritual triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. As diyas are lit throughout homes, workplaces, communities, and places of worship, their warmth reminds us of the hope and devotion that faith and tradition bring into our lives.
The United States is a deeply faithful nation, and I am proud of my Administration’s work defending the constitutional right of all Americans to live and worship according to their conscience. Wherever Americans light diyas to celebrate Diwali, our Nation shines bright as a beacon of religious liberty for all people.
This year, we are especially reminded to cherish and give thanks for the companionship of our friends and family. The First Lady and I wish the millions of people in the United States and around the world observing Diwali a joyous celebration and prosperous new beginnings.

Rebel Akali leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa on Sunday accused the Badal family of being “hand in glove” with Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, saying their business interests “remained unaffected” despite the Congress being in power in the state.
Dhindsa appeared to to be responding to the allegations by Akali Dal leaders that he and his son Parminder Singh Dhindsa were being used as “pawns” by the CM and Congress to weaken the SAD.
The Dhindsas were expelled by the Akali Dal for alleged anti-party activities on February 3.
On Sunday, they held a massive “Save Punjab, Save Panth” rally on their home turf in Sangrur.

राष्ट्रीय जांच एजेंसी [एनआईए]के अधिकारी तंजील अहमद की अज्ञात बदमाशों ने दिनदहाड़े गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी । बदमाशों की गोली से उनकी पत्नी घायल हो गई हैं ।
उत्तर प्रदेश के पुलिस महानिरीक्षक :कानून व्यवस्था: भगवान स्वरूप के अनुसार मोटरसाइकिल सवार बदमाशों ने मोहम्मद तंजील अहमद को उस समय गोली मारी जब वह पत्नी फरजाना के साथ एक शादी में शामिल होकर लौट रहे थे।तंजील बी एस ऍफ़ में असिस्टेंट कमांडर थे और फ़िलहाल ऐ न आई ऐ में डेपुटेशन पर थे
जब स्वरूप से पूछा गया कि क्या अहमद पठानकोट आतंकी हमले की जांच से जुडे थे तो उन्होंने कहा कि फिलहाल इस बारे में निश्चित तौर पर पता नहीं है और एनआईए ही इस बारे में जानकारी दे सकती है।लेकिन दिल्ली के अधिकारी इसे प्लांड मर्डर बता रहे हैं
