अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने सीमा पर दीवार बनाने और कानून प्रवर्तन के बारे में चर्चा के बीच विवादास्पद बयान देते हुए आज कुछ प्रवासियों की तुलना ‘‘ जानवर ’’ से की।
ट्रंप ने कैलिफोर्निया से व्हाइट हाउस आए रिपब्लिकन सांसदों को कहा , ‘‘ हमारे देश में लोग आ रहे हैं या आने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। हम लोगों को देश से बाहर ले जा रहे हैं। आप यकीन नहीं करेंगे कि ये लोग कितने बुरे हैं , ये आदमी नहीं बल्कि जानवर हैं। ’’
कॉलोराडो से कांग्रेस के सदस्य जेरेड पोलिस ने कहा , ‘‘ प्रवासी इंसान हैं ना कि जानवर , अपराधी , ड्रग डीलर और बलात्कारी। वे इंसान हैं। ’’
कैलिफोर्निया के गवर्नर जैरी ब्राउन ने कहा , ‘‘ ट्रंप प्रवासियों के बारे में , अपराध के बारे में और कैलिफोर्निया के कानूनों के बारे में झूठ बोल रहे हैं। ’’

NAPA has demanded international flights from Amritsar to Sanfrancisco
Ahead of the Promised visit of Indian Prime Minister North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) has sought the intervention of Prime Minister for early resume of the Air India’s Amritsar-Sanfrancisco flight and expediting clearance of international flights from Mohali airport for facilitating the non-resident Indians, especially Punjabis living in United States.
Satnam Singh Chahal executive director of NAPA in a letter sent to Prime Minister + Ashok Gagapathi Indian Civil Aviation Minister +Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has urged for this cause
In this communiqué to Narendra Modi and Ashok Gagapathi , Chahal pleaded that many of the NRIs were facing difficulties due to the lack of direct flight between Amritsar and Sanfrancisco. With more than 63% of passengers checking in at the Delhi airport belonging to Punjab, it is imperative for the government of India to facilitate their movement by starting more direct international flights from Amritsar and expedite clearance of international flights from the upcoming Mohali airport,” Chahal has also alleged that progress of the Mohali airport was quite slow and it needed to be expedited.

इस कथन के समर्थन में चार वर्षों के आंकड़े भी प्रस्तुत किये गए हैं |बताया गया है कि जून २००९ से ८७% एम्प्लॉयमेंट बढ़ा है| मार्च २०१० में अफोर्डेबल केयर एक्ट लाया गया था तब से ९०% एम्प्लॉयमेंट[फुल टाईम ] बढ़ा है|

एडवर्ड स्नोडेन ने विश्व के नागरिकों कि निजता हनन के षड्यंत्र को उजागर किया और हमारे अधिकारों कि रक्षा का प्रयास किया ऐसे व्हिसल ब्लोअर को आज दर दर भटकना पड़ रहा है| यहाँ तक की शरणागत को शरण देने और मेहमान नवाजी के लिए सुप्रसिद्ध भारत में भी उसे राजनितिक शरण नहीं दी गई|
आप पार्टी ने कहा है कि भारत को अमेरिका कि एक कालोनी बना कर रखने के बजाय उसे पर्याप्त जवाब दिया जाना चाहिए| इसके लिए केंद्र सरकार द्वारा एडवर्ड स्नोडेन को राजनितिक शरण दी जानी चाहिए
