As per Health Ministry1,203 have recovered or migrated,
#Maharashtra has recorded the maximum number of 876 Omicron variant cases, followed by
#Delhi at 513,
#Karnataka 333,
#Rajasthan 291,
#Kerala 284 and #Gujarat 204.
The death toll has climbed to 4,83,463 with 285 fresh fatalities.
A total of 1,52,734 new infections were reported on May 31 last year.
The 285 new #fatalities included 189 from Kerala and 20 from Maharashtra.
A total of 4,83,463 deaths due to the pandemic have been reported so far in the country, including 1,41,614 from Maharashtra, 49,305 from Kerala, 38,362 from Karnataka, 36,833 from Tamil Nadu, 25,136 from Delhi, 22,918 from Uttar Pradesh and 19,864 from West Bengal.
The health ministry stressed that more than 70 per cent of the deaths occurred due to comorbidities.

ब्रिटेन से आठ जनवरी से 30 जनवरी के बीच आने वाले सभी यात्रियों को देश में आगमन पर स्वभुगतान के आधार पर कोविड-19 जांच करानी होगी। यह बात स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने शनिवार को जारी एक मानक संचालन प्रक्रिया (एसओपी) में कही।
एसओपी में कहा गया है कि साथ ही ब्रिटेन से आने वाले प्रत्येक यात्री को यात्रा से 72 घंटे पहले करायी गई अपनी कोविड-19 जांच की निगेटिव रिपोर्ट लानी होगी।
भारत ने ब्रिटेन में सामने आये कोरोना वायरस के नये प्रकार के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए वहां से आने वाली सभी उड़ानों को 23 दिसम्बर से 31 दिसंबर तक निलंबित कर दिया था। बाद में, इस रोक को सात जनवरी तक बढ़ा दिया गया था।

The COVID-19 active caseload plunged to almost 4 lakh after 138 days.
The total coronavirus cases mounted to 96,44,222 with 36,011 new infections being reported in a day, while the death toll crossed to 1.40 lakh with 482 new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.
There are 4,03,248 active coronavirus infections in the country which comprises 4.18 per cent of the total caseload, the data stated.
India’s COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23 and 40 lakh on September 5. It went past 50 lakh on September 16, 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, and surpassed 90 lakh on November 20.
According to the ICMR, 14,69,86,575 samples have been tested up to December 5 with 11,01,063 samples being tested on Saturday.

The number of active cases remained below 5 lakh for the thirteenth consecutive day.There are 4,43,486 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country as on date which comprises 4.85 per cent of the total caseload
The national recovery rate was recorded 93.68 per cent, while the COVID-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.46 per cent.

The total recoveries have surged to 54,27,706, while there are 9,44,996 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which comprises 14.60 per cent of the total caseload, the data showed.
The COVID-19 case fatality rate was recorded at 1.56 %
