The accused were identified as Harsh, Ilal Ahmed, Mohd Kaif, Shivam, Ashu, Shan Mohammad, and Sameer, and a case was registered against them, they said. 
During interrogation, the accused confessed using the raided house to manufacture arms and supplying them to others, police said.

According to the FIR lodged at a police station in Ballia’s Lilkar village under Sections 504 (intentional insult) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, the accused threatened to kill Rai.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday claimed that crimes in the state had seen a “sharp decline” under BJP rule as compared to the previous Samajwadi Party (SP) regime.
Speaking in the state Assembly, Adityanath said, if the crime figures of 2016 and 2019 are compared, then there is a decline of 60.94 per cent in the incidents of dacoity, 46.42 per cent in loot cases and 20.95 per cent in cases of murder.
Likewise, there is a drop of “27.19 per cent in cases of ‘balwa’ (clashes), 100 per cent in cases of road holdup, 46 per cent in kidnapping for ransom while a decrease of 18.59 per cent has been witnessed in cases of rape”, he said.
In 2016, the Samajwadi Party (SP) was in power in Uttar Pradesh and Akhilesh Yadav was the chief minister.

Death toll in the hooch tragedy that hit two adjoining districts in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh has risen to 70 with more people dying of the spurious liquor they drank at a Haridwar village

As per Police Reoports Twenty-four of the victims died in Balupur and its neighbouring villages in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar district
At least 46 others, who had come home to the adjoining Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh after drinking the spurious liquor in Balupur on Thursday night, are also dead.
Uttar Pradesh officials said 35 of the Saharanpur deaths took place in the district itself. Eleven other victims, who were referred from Saharanpur for medical treatment in Meerut, died at a hospital there.
In Uttarakhand, about 20 more people are still under treatment.
Most of the victims had consumed the liquor Thursday evening after the `tehravin’, the 13th day of mourning ritual, following a relative’s death in Balupur, officials said.
