Akhilesh Sacked His Father’s Favorite Minister Gayatri Prajapati Over Corruption

[Lucknow,UP] Akhilesh Sacked His Father’s Favorite Minister Gayatri Prajapati
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today sacked state Mining Minister Gayatri Prajapati over allegations of corruption, days after the High Court rejected the SP government’s plea to withdraw an order for a CBI probe into alleged illegal mining in the state.
A letter for the same has been sent to Raj Bhavan
It is alleged that Yadav was promoting illegal mining.
The opposition, however, alleged that the sacking of the minister was just an eyewash to hide the corruption in mining sector.
Taking a grim view of illegal mining in Uttar Pradesh, the Allahabad High Court on July 28 directed the CBI to investigate the matter across the state, including the role of government officials in facilitating the same, and submit a report within six weeks.
The HC on September 9 rejected an application by the state government for withdrawal of its order.
Prajapati began as Minister of State for Irrigation in February 2013 and was moved to the lucrative berth of mining, directly under Yadav who handled that portfolio.
In July 2013, Yadav elevated Prajapati to MoS (Independent Charge) and in January 2014, he was made a Cabinet Minister

UP Govt Transfers 3 IAS Officers,Including Judicially Hammered “Rama Raman”

[Lucknow,UP]UP Govt Transfers 3 IAS Officers,Including Tainted Rama Raman
The Uttar Pradesh government today transferred three IAS officers, including CEO of Noida Authority Rama Raman whose transfer was ordered by the Allahabad High Court last month.
Raman has been removed from his post and put on the wait list while Principal Technical Education Monika Garg has been given additional charge of the Noida Authority as OSD,
Besides these two, Joint Magistrate of Moradabad, Harshita Mathur, has been shifted to Ballia in the same capacity, it added.
The Allahabad High Court had seized Raman s powers on July 1 acting on a petition filed by Noida resident Jitendra Kumar Goyal who had alleged that Raman had been holding three posts simultaneously for three years.
Raman was both the CEO of Noida authority and chairman of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities for the last three years.
The court had then pointed out that the state government had “failed to follow its own policy” that an officer should not continue on the same post for a long period of time.
After the high court orders, the Uttar Pradesh government, on July 19, appointed Pravir Kumar as chairman of the three authorities.
Raman, however, continued as Noida authority s CEO.
The court had later asked the state government if it could shunt Raman out as the Noida authority s CEO.

Attacking BJP which has been cornering the state government over the law and order issue, the CM said, “They (BJP) want a debate on law and order. But before that they should look in their own states. They look so weak on the borders.”
Referring to BJP’s charge that many senior leaders were ruling the state by proxy, he said, “You might have read the allegation of five-and-a-half CMs in UP many times. I say you find out one (CM candidate), then it will be decided, who is leading and who is lagging behind. This will be decided by the people of the state.”
Referring to BJP’s ongoing ‘tiranga’ yatra, he said while UP is poll-bound, the saffron brigade was taking out ‘yatras’.
On Congress projecting Sheila Dikshit as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming assembly polls, he said, “Congress said it wants to project an upper caste as CM candidate. Tell in which direction they want to take the country.”
Attacking the media, he said it highlights Bulandshahr and Mathura incidents underlining the law and order problem in the state but it never gives prominence to what is happening in Delhi and Haryana.

UP’s CM Says,Oppn ‘Tutoring’ Bulandshahr Victims for Political Gains

[Lucknow,UP]Oppn ‘tutoring’ Bulandshahr victims for political gains: UP CM
Facing flak in the wake of Bulandshahr gangrape incident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today hit back at the opposition, accusing them of tutoring the victims to serve their political motives, even as he promised strict action against the culprits.
CM Said
“The incident is unfortunate. Action will be taken against those responsible. But the question is what are BJP and other (opposition) parties tutoring the victims and showing the way of politics,”
“What are BJP and other people telling the victims inside the room, you (media persons) should also look into it…what are they telling the victims…if they want CBI probe I am willing for it…I am ready to help them out,” he said on the sidelines of a programme here.
Yadav alleged that hype was also built around the Badaun rape case of two sisters to defame his government in the past.
A political slugfest is on in the state over the gangrape of a minor girl and her mother on the national highway in Bulandshahr district, with the state government coming in for severe bashing and leaders of various parties making a beeline to meet the victims.
While a BJP delegation led by state unit president Keshav Prasad Maurya has already met the victims in Ghaziabad, a Congress delegation led by its chief ministerial candidate Sheila Dikshit met them today.
