उपराष्ट्रपति एम हामिद अंसारी ने रमजान के पवित्र महीने की समाप्ति के प्रतीक ईद-उल-फितर के उल्लासपूर्ण अवसर पर देश के नागरिकों को हार्दिक बधाई और शुभ कामनाएं दी है। अपने संदेश में उन्होंने कहा कि यह त्योहार लोगों में भाईचारे और समझ की परंपरागत अभिव्यक्ति का प्रतीक है और यह करुणा, परोपकार और उदारता की भावना को मजबूत करता है।
उपराष्ट्रपति ने आगे कहा “मेरी यही शुभ कामना है कि ईद-उल-फितर का त्योहार जो महान आदर्शों का प्रतीक है मानवता की समस्त भावनाओं के साथ हमारे जीवन को शांति, समृद्धि और सद्भाव से परिपूर्ण करे।”

राष्ट्रीय आयुक्त श्री नागराजन के नेतृत्व में ६४ वर्षीय भारत स्काउट्स एण्ड गाइड्स के एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने उप राष्ट्रपति श्री हामिद अंसारी से भेंट की और उन्हें भारत स्काउट्स एण्ड गाइड्स का स्टीकर फ्लैग प्रस्तुत किया।
यह उन्हें नई दिल्ली में भारत स्काउट्स एण्ड गाइड्स के स्थापना दिवस के अवसर पर पेश किया गया। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने उन्हें एक स्मृति चिन्ह और अपनी गतिविधियों संबंधी प्रकाशनों का एक सैट भी प्रस्तुत किया। उप राष्ट्रपति ने उन्हें शुभकामनाएं दीं।
भारत स्काउट्स एण्ड गाइड्स देश में काम करने वाला एक स्वैच्छिक और गैर राजनीतिक संगठन है। यह 7 नवंबर, 1950 से काम कर रहा है।

The Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari and Smt. Salma Ansari today met the differently abled children from ‘UMEED’, a Vocational Training Centre run under the aegis of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) today.
The Vice President and Smt. Ansari interacted with the children and wished them good success in their future.
The Centre was established on 1st September, 2005 by AFWWA to empower the differently abled children with vocational training so as to make them contributing citizens of the society rather than being looked upon as a burden.

Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has already ordered a high-level inquiry into the GAIL pipeline fire that killed at least 14 persons.
The Minister of State for Commerce & Industry (Independent Charge), Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, who is on official tour to China as part of the delegation of the Hon’ble Vice President, Shri Hamid Ansari, has deeply condoled the loss of lives in the explosion at GAIL plant at Nagaram village in Mamidikuduru mandal of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.
In a message from China, the Minister said “I am deeply shocked to hear about the loss of lives in the explosion of a GAIL gas pipeline in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh.
The Government is committed to provide all necessary help to the affected people and families. I convey my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I wish speedy recovery to the injured people and will be in touch with authorities to ensure that the needful is done on an urgent basis.”
