[New Delhi] Hard Days For Train Commuters From 1st June
Fares for first class and AC class in passenger trains besides freight charges will be increased by 0.5 per cent from June 1 as new service tax will come into effect.
“Currently, 3.708 % service tax is levied on train fares for AC Class, First Class and freight. This will go up to 4.2 % from June which means the rise is only 0.5 %,”
While the increase in passenger fare is applicable on AC and First Class only, service tax will be levied on all goods transported by Railways.
The official claimed this hike a marginal hike and it is being done as per the General Budget proposals

NRI Hotelier Body Found in Punjab:Murdered by Business Partner

[Jalandhar,Punjab] A Britain-based Indian Hotelier has been Allegedly Murdered by his business partner
“Ranjeet Singh, who belonged to Jalandhar and had a hotel business in Britain, had been missing since the beginning of this month. A missing person’s complaint was filed by his brother Amreek Singh on May 18
As per Police Version Sukhdev has accepted his involvement in the crime on May 8.
According to police, Ranjeet and Sukhdev were business partners in Britain and had some dispute sometime back.
Police today recovered the hotelier’s body from the jungles of Anandpur Sahib.
Police has registered a case of murder against Sukhdev Singh and further investigations are on in the case.

Case Lodged Against Nestle India For Just Two Minute Maggi
A case was lodged today against Nestle India in Barabanki court over safety standards of its Maggi product, while actors Amitabh Bachhan+ Madhuri Dixit Naine+ Preity Zinta have also been separately dragged to the court for promoting the ‘two-minute’ noodles brand.
While the case against Nestle India and five others was filed by the UP food regulator FSDA (Food Safety and Drug Administration), a local advocate filed a separate case against the three cine personalities.
“Following FSDA Commissioner P P Singh’s permission to file a case against Nestle India, a case has been filed in the court of ACJM (Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate) here,” Barabanki Food Safety Officer V K Pandey said to PTI .
The case has been lodged against the company’s Nestle Nagal Kalan Industrial Area unit (Haroli, Una in HP), Delhi-based Nestle India Limited, an Easy Day outlet in Barabanki and the Delhi-based parent firm Easy Day, as also against and their FMCG (fast moving consumer goods)
The FSDA had found monosodium glutamate and lead in excess of the prescribed limit in Maggi samples tested by it.
The FSDA had collected the samples from the Easy Day store in Barabanki and had sent the consignment for testing, which showed that the quantum of lead present was 17 times more than the stipulated limit, which is considered hazardous.
The Union Consumer Affairs Ministry has also asked the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to look into the matter while Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said yesterday that a class action suit can also be initiated in the matter if a complaint is lodged in this regard with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC).
The second case has been lodged by a local advocate in Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court against the cine stars for promoting Maggi noodles, saying they have been found to be harmful for public health.

Union minister of state for Labour,Bandaru Dattatreya Today Declared That Rs 27,000 cr lying unclaimed in Employee Provident Fund [EPF]
A sum of RS 27,000 crore is lying as unclaimed amount in the EPF, which will be utilised for the welfare of workers.
My ministry is contemplating schemes (for its utilisation),” Dattatreya said at a function Today In Vijayawada
He said the total deposit in EPF at present stands at Rs 8.62 lakh crore.
“The NDA government is keen to amend the century-old British labour laws and implement reforms in labour sector for the welfare of workers,” he said, adding the government will provide skill development training to about two crore workers in the next two years under the ‘Skill Development Programme’.

Earlier A leak of radioactive substance from a consignment unloaded from a Turkish Airlines plane was detected at the Indira Gandhi International Airport today, forcing suspension of cargo operations.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Assured that the leak has been “plugged”
According to Customs officials, cargo operations was also suspended
“Entire area was cordoned off,Staff evacuated.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was called in to check the substance and contain and plug the leak, sources said.
The material, said to be low radio activity Sodium Iodide Liquid Class 7, was imported for medical purpose by a Delhi-based multi-speciality hospital.
Meanwhile, aviation regulator DGCA also launched a probe into the incident.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the appointment of Pradeep Kumar Sinha, IAS (UP:77), as the next Cabinet Secretary, with effect from June 13, 2015. He succeeds Ajit Seth.
Shri Sinha has been serving as Secretary, Ministry of Power, since July 2013. He has earlier been Secretary in the Ministry of Shipping, and has held several other important positions in the Union Government and the State of Uttar Pradesh.
The Prime Minister has also approved that Shri P.K. Sinha may be appointed as OSD in the Cabinet Secretariat with effect from the date of assumption of charge, till June 12, 2015.

Earlier, Dharmendra’s daughter Actress Esha Deol took to twitter to assure fans that her father is “fit and fine.”

Prominent Jat Leader Ch Charan Singh was the Fifth Prime Minister of the Republic of India, He Served from 28 July 1979 until 14 January 1980.
He was born in a Jat family in 1902 in village Noorpur of Hapur District in Uttar Pradesh And Entered politics as part of the Independence Movement. After independence, he became particularly notable in the 1950s for opposing and winning a battle against Jawaharlal Nehru’s socialistic and collectivist land use policies, for the sake of the Indian Farmer, which endeared him to the agrarian communities throughout the nation, particularly in his native Uttar Pradesh.
Charan Singh’s ancestor was the prominent leader of the Indian Rebellion of 1857,
Raja Nahar Singh of Ballabhgarh (in present day Haryana). Maharaja Nahar Singh was sent to the gallows in Chandni Chowk, Delhi. In order to escape the oppression from the British Government following their defeat, the Maharaja’s followers, including Charan Singh’s grandfather moved eastward to district Bulandshaher in Uttar Pradesh.
