About 25 people have lost their lives in several parts of Darjeeling district in West Bengal.
Prime Minister Of India condoled the loss of lives due to the landslides in Kurseong and Kalimpong areas in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. And Announced compensation for landslide victims
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives due to the landslides in Kurseong and Kalimpong areas in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. The Prime Minister has announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, to the families of the deceased. This amount will be in addition to the compensation of Rs. 4 lakh to be given from the National Disaster Relief Fund.
The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh spoke to the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Ms. Mamta Banerjee and assured all possible assistance from the Centre. He directed the authorities to take up the rescue and relief operations immediately. Two National Disaster Response Force teams have been dispatched for rescue operations.
On the instruction of the Prime Minister, a high level team headed by the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju is leaving for Kurseong and Kalimpong to take stock of the situation. Shri Rijiju will be accompanied by the Member of Parliament, Darjeeling, Shri S.S. Ahluwalia and the Deputy Inspector General (Operations), NDRF, Shri S.S. Guleria.

भारतीय रेल मंत्रालय के अनुसार रेलगाड़ी रद्द होने की स्थिति में कन्फर्म/आरएसी ई-टिकट का पैसा अब अपने आप वापिस होगा |
रेल मंत्रालय ने प्रतीक्षासूची ई-टिकटों की तरह ही रेलगाड़ी रद्द होने की स्थिति में कन्फर्म्ड या आरएसी ई-टिकटों का रिफंड अब अपने आप वापस दिलाने का निर्णय लिया है। अब ट्रेन रद्द करने की स्थिति में ई-टिकटों के रिफंड के लिए टिकट जमा करके टीडीआर भरने की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी। यह व्यवस्था जल्द ही लागू हो जाएगी। रेलगाड़ी रद्द होने की स्थिति में वर्तमान प्रावधानों के अनुसार आरक्षण काउंटर पर रिफंड देना शुरू हो जाएगा। इसके आलावा ट्रैन रद्द होने की सूरत में एस एमएस द्वारा सूचना भी प्रेषित की जाएगी

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, vice president Rahul and Priyanka are back to the national capital after their “short international visit”.
While Rahul Gandhi arrived today, Sonia and Priyanka, who had left before Rahul, returned yesterday.
On June 20, when Rahul had left for visit abroad, party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala had said, “Sonia Gandhi is currently travelling on a short international visit for personal reasons”.
The party has declined to divulge the reasons for their foreign visit.

Continuing to mount pressure, the AAP today demanded immediate sacking of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in the wake of fresh allegations that controversial former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi offered directorship in a company to her husband Swaraj Kaushal.
Batting for a legislation on conflict of interest, the party also demanded that ministers in the Union government and their immediate family members should also declare their pecuniary interests.
“Now it has come to light that Lalit Modi offered directorship to Swaraj Kaushal. He is the beneficiary of the legal fees from Modi. There should be an independent probe and the External Affairs Minister should be immediately sacked.
“The Center should ask its ministers to make their pecuniary interests public and there should be a strong conflict of interest law in the country,” party spokesperson Raghav Chadha said.
The party also attacked the BJP for the poor functioning of Municipal Corporations of Delhi, which are being controlled by the Centre, following the remarks in the CAG report, which was tabled in the Delhi Legislative Assembly yesterday.
“Around Rs 35 crore were given to the South Delhi Municipal Corporation for the treatment of dengue and malaria.
But only Rs 18 crore were spent. Who will take the responsibility for the people who have died and suffered,” AAP’s Delhi unit secretary Dilip Pandey said.
He said that around Rs 13 crore were spent on managing the website of the corporation. “We all know in today’s age a website can be operated in less than Rs 1000 and the corporation spent Rs 13 crore for this purpose. With that amount, websites of the Municipal corporation of the whole world could be managed,”

Scam tainted former IPL chief Lalit Modi today sought to drag BJP leader Varun Gandhi in the Lalitgate controversy alleging that a deal was offered to settle matters with Sonia Gandhi, which Varun dubbed as “baseless” and “nonsense”.
In a series of tweets, Lalit Modi has alleged,
“Mr Varungandhi came to see me at my house a few years ago and said he can settle everything in @INCIndia with his aunt. He wanted me to meet her[Sonia] sister from italy”
Vehemently denying the charge, Varun said “This is absolutely baseless and it is beneath my dignity to respond to this nonsense.”
The BJP has also come to Varun’s defence, saying he is in a different party than Sonia Gandhi.
“Varun Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi are in different parties and the world knows about the ties between the two families, BJP Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.
Modi further tweeted, “Please mr @varungandhi – let the world know what you told about what auntie wants – witness is our good friend world renowned astrologer.
“Please clarify @varungandhi did u or did u not come to my house in London. Whilst staying at the Ritz hotel in lon(don) a few years ago – the auntie he refers to is #soniagandhi. The sister is #soniagandhi sister – just for clarity.

आरोपों की जांच के लिए यूजीसी द्वारा बनायी गयी एक कमेटी ने पाया कि पांच परीक्षाओं- नेट के तीन चरणों और शिक्षा अधिकारियों की भर्ती के लिए कॉलेज को आवंटित फंड को लेकर प्रधानाचार्य ने 1.5 करोड़ रूपये में 89,22,161 रूपये के लिए समुचित दस्तावेज पेश नहीं किया।

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi today admitted that a few party members were getting benefits like official house and cars.
In a reply to BJP MLA OP Sharma’s question, government said that these members have been appointed as co-terminus staff with it.
Government in its reply said that Bibhav Kumar, private secretary to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Aswathi Muralidharan, joint secretary to Chief minister, have been allotted houses.
The government also said the salary of these staff, who are in the grade pay of Rs 8,700 equivalent to senior IAS officers.
Apart from 17 co-terminus staff, eight contractual staffs are hired and get Rs 60,000 to Rs 1.15 lakh.
There are two advisors who work on the salary of Rs one per month.
