[लुधियाना,पंजाब]चाँद सिनेमा पुल्ल के ट्रैफिक को अव्यवस्थाओं का ग्रहण लगा |शताब्दी पुराने इस ब्रिज को दशकों से असुरक्षित घोषित किया जा चूका है| अब स्थानीय प्रशासन द्वारा इस ब्रिज पर ट्रैफिक को रिपेयर के लिए बंद करा दिया गया है|ट्रैफिक बंद किये जाने से हो रही आलोचना से बचने के लिए स्थानीय प्रशासन द्वारा ट्रैफिक पुलिस पर दोषारोपण शुरू हो गया है|
गौरतलब हे के स्मार्ट सिटी की लिस्ट में शामिल लुधियाना के इस ब्रिज को यातयात के लिए दशकों पूर्व असुरक्षित घोषित किया जा चुका है लेकिन ब्रिज की मरम्मत के लिए पर्याप्त फंड्स का रोना भी रोया जा रहा है|

Saran is currently India’s Ambassador to Russia.
The 1982 batch officer of Indian Foreign Service (IFS) was in November 2015 appointed as the India’s envoy to Russia. He had held various positions in India and abroad including the country’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh. He also served as the joint secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office between 2007 and 2012.
Former chief of the Intelligence Bureau, Ajit Doval is the National Security Adviser.

A court in Jalandhar today granted bail to the former SHO of Mehatpur police station in Shahkot, He was arrested for allegedly assaulting and obstructing an on-duty government official on May 11.

Inspector P Bajwa, who had registered an FIR against the Congress candidate Hardev Singh Laddi in an illegal mining case, was arrested for pushing and assaulting an assistant sub-inspector-rank police officer during the frisking process at the court premises (in Jalandhar) thus preventing him from discharging his duty.
Bajwa had gone to the Jalandhar district court to seek security for himself as he had feared for his life.
Bajwa, was the Station House Officer of Mehatpur police station at Shahkot, who was later replaced by the Election Commission.
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh had described the arbitrary registration of the FIR by the SHO against the Congress candidate as part of a political conspiracy.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav today termed as a “dangerous trend for democracy” EVMs developing snags in “areas having SP and RLD influence” and demanded that all future elections be conducted through paper ballots.
“Complaints in large numbers have been received of EVMs and VVPAT developing snags in areas where SP and RLD have good influence during yesterday’s polling…it seems as if this has been done as part of a design,”
The Samajwadi Party president alleged that people in large numbers could not exercise their franchise yesterday.
The former chief minister said his party had said it earlier too and wants to make a fresh demand that all future elections be conducted through paper ballots.
To a question as to whether any peoples’ movement will be launched on this issue, Yadav said first he will talk to all political parties on this issue.
To a question, he termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s road show on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway on May 27 near Kairana as an attempt to influence the by-election.
“The prime minister participated in a roadshow and in his speech also talked about quota within quota…we say that if you really want to give quota to backwards and most backwards then you first need to have their numbers counted and only then give them their right and honour as per their population. But, since you only wanted to influence the bypoll, you just made a mention of it (in your speech),” Akhilesh said.

A bench headed by Acting Chairperson of NGT Justice Jawad Rahim took strong exception to the dumping of waste at the site and ordered its removal within 10 days.
The order came after advocate Sanjay Upadhyay, appearing for the Noida residents, argued that dumping of solid and medical waste in huge quantity in the middle of a city forest by the Noida Authority had degraded environment and caused severe health hazard to the residents of sectors 22, 23, 53, 55 and 56.
He said that despite the tribunal’s order to dump the waste at Sector 123, the Noida Authority was dumping 600 tonnes of waste daily in Sector 54 in clear violation of the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016.
The counsel for the Noida Authority, however, said that no dumping was taking place at the site and only segregation of garbage was being carried out there.
The tribunal had earlier issued notices to the Ministry of Environment and Forests, New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, Uttar Pradesh government, Central Pollution Control Board, UP State Pollution Control Board and the Gautam Budh Nagar District Collector in the matter.
The green body was hearing a plea filed by Resident Welfare Associations of Sectors 22, 23, 53, 55 and 56 seeking directions to immediately stop dumping of solid waste at the site in Sector 54.
The residents also alleged in their petition that the Noida Authority had been illegally felling trees without proper permission under the UP Protection of Trees Act 1976 and it had also permitted running of a gas depot in the city forest, which was a fire hazard.

अपर पुलिस महानिदेशक (कानून व्यवस्था) आनंद कुमार के अनुसार सहायक पुलिस अधीक्षक राजेश साहनी ने सरकारी हथियार से खुद की कनपटी पर गोली मार ली। उन्होंने अपने कार्यालय में दोपहर लगभग पौने एक बजे खुदकुशी कर ली। साहनी 1992 बैच के प्रांतीय पुलिस सेवा के अधिकारी थे।
कुमार ने बताया कि यह पता लगाया जा रहा है कि साहनी ने ऐसा कदम क्यों उठाया।

The 157th Defence Pension Adalat (DPA) was held here and it settled 73 of the 194 cases registered,
121 cases are under correspondence with the authority concerned
Controller of Defence Account (Pension Disbursement), [CDA[PD]Meerut, Tarun Kumar Jajoria inaugurated the DPA at Satwari for redressal of grievances of defence pensioners, including defence civilians residing in Jammu district and adjoining areas.
In his address, Jajoria highlighted various projects being implemented for improving the services provided to pensioners.
He mentioned newly implemented
e-PPOs (pension payment orders),
e-payments and
pensioners portal
through which pensioners may seek clarification on their pension-related issues
CDA (PD), Meerut came into existence in November, 1983 consequent to orders of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana that the pension should be paid monthly instead of quarterly and by the department who is responsible for sanctioning the pension. Thus, CDA (PD) was established to take over the disbursement of pension from the Post Offices and state treasuries.
