कांग्रेस द्वारा वर्ष २००५ में पारदर्शिता के लिए आर टी आई एक्ट लाया गया था लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से पंजाब में कांग्रेस की सरकार में ही इसकी धज्जियां उड़ाई जा रही हैं|न केवल आरटीआई वरन पीएमओ के मार्फ़त भेजी जा रही शिकायतों का भी जवाब नहीं दिया जा रहा|
पंजाब सरकार के विभागों में स्टाफ की कमी का रोना रोया जाता है|

A nun has filed a police complaint against a Catholic bishop of a diocese in north India, alleging that he had sexually abused her multiple times at a small town near here four years ago
Victim nun alleged that she was subjected to sexual abuse 13 times.
She said that she was abused for the first time in 2014 at a guest house near an orphanage in Kuravilangad region in the district
The nun claimed that she had then complained to the church authorities about the abuse, but no action was taken.
She said the unfavourable approach of the Church authorities towards her grievances forced her to lodge a police complaint in the matter,
Meanwhile, the bishop has filed a counter petition against the nun with the police, accusing her of seeking revenge against him for transferring her.
The district police chief has directed a DySP rank officer to launch a probe into the incident based on both the complaints.
The priest, a Keralite, has been serving as bishop of a diocese in north India since 2013.
There was no immediate reaction from the Church authorities on the allegations.

Punjab’s former finance minister Surinder Singla died today at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here, after he was rushed there complaining of breathlessness.
According to family sources, Singla (78) breathed his last around 6 am at AIIMS
Singla was a senior state Congress leader and belonged to Samana town in Patiala district.
He was a former Rajya Sabha member from Punjab. He last represented the Bathinda Assembly constituency and was Punjab’s finance minister during the previous Congress government of Capt Amarinder Singh.
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh condoled the death and hailed his contribution in developing Bathinda constituency.

[Srinagar]Rains Delay Commencement of Holi Cave”Amaranth” Yatra
Heavy rainfall today delayed commencement of annual Amaranth Yatra to the cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas from Pahalgam and Baltal base camps.
“The yatra has not commenced yet from either Baltal or Pahalgam base camps due to rain,” a spokesman of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) said.
Amid tight security, the first batch of nearly 3,000 Amarnath pilgrims from Jammu reached the twin base camps at Baltal and Pahalgam in Kashmir last evening.
Of this group of pilgrims,
1,904 have opted for traditional Pahalgam route while
1,091 choose the Baltal route to reach the Himalayan cave shrine in south Kashmir.
The batch comprises of 2,334 men, 520 women, 21 children and 120 Sadhus,
Security forces has dotted the 400-km road length from Jammu to Baltal and Pahalgam.
The government is for the first time using radio frequency (RF) tags to track Amarnath-bound vehicles
CRPF has introduced motorcycle squads with cameras and various life-saving equipment.
Around 40,000 security personnel from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, paramilitary, National Disaster Response Force and the Army, have been deployed for this year’s pilgrimage.
A total of 2.60 lakh pilgrims offered prayers at the shrine last year.
SASB has decided to allow 7, 500 pilgrims on each route daily.

The Revenue Department on Tuesday suspended the controversial Tehsildar of Khamano, Harphool Singh, in the light of his purported video in which he had claimed to be party to corruption.
.The video, which had gone viral recently on the social media, reportedly showed the Tehsildar openly declaring himself to be part of a corrupt system and claiming to have paid money to a legislator for securing a plum posting for a newly recruited PCS officer. The said officer is currently posted as Naib Tehsildar.
The Revenue Department initiated action against Harphool Singh after the Chief Minister spoke to Revenue Minister Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria. The Chief Minister made it clear that he would not tolerate corruption under any circumstances and asked for a thorough vigilance probe into the matter. He has also sought the report of the probe at the earliest.

[New Delhi]Oxytocin Formulations Banned From 1st July 2018
Oxytocin in any form or name will not be allowed to be sold through retail Chemist.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has restricted the manufacture of Oxytocin formulations for domestic use to public sector only from 1st July 2018. It has also banned the import of Oxytocin and its formulations.
No private manufacturer will be allowed to manufacture the drug for domestic use.
Only Karnataka Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (KAPL), a public sector company, would be manufacturing this drug for domestic use from that date. The Oxytocin formulations meant for domestic consumption will be supplied by the manufacturer, i.e. KAPL, to the registered hospitals and clinics in public and private sector directly .

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said it is an increase of about 10 times since 2014.
PM said beneficiaries under various social security schemes stood at about 5 crore in 2014, which has now increased to 50 crore.He informed about Social Security Schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.
Referring to the financial inclusion programme Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, he said the emphasis was on three aspects —
opening the doors of the banks for the poor, or banking the unbanked;
access to capital for small business and budding entrepreneurs, or funding the unfunded; and a social security cover for the poor and vulnerable, thus financially securing the unsecured.
About 28 crore new bank accounts have been opened under the Jan Dhan scheme.
There are about 1 crore subscribers of the assured minimum pension scheme Atal Pension Yojana.
The government is also promoting
Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana for citizens aged 60 years and above.
About 3 lakh people have so far benefited from the scheme.
