National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Wednesday briefed Home Minister Amit Shah about the prevailing situation in North East Delhi where communal violence has claimed at least 22 lives
Doval met Shah soon after his visit to the riot-affected areas of the national capital at the latter’s North Block office. This was the NSA’s second visit to the violence-hit localities in less than 24 hours.
The NSA briefed the home minister about the current law and order situation in North East Delhi and steps taken to bring back normalcy there
Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, Director of Intelligence Bureau Arvind Kumar and Commissioner of Delhi Police Amulya Patnaik attended the meeting.
At least 22 people have been killed and over 200 injured in communal violence that broke out in northeast Delhi three days ago. Jaffrabad, Maujpur, Babarpur, Yamuna Vihar, Bhajanpura, Chand Bagh, Shiv Vihar are among the areas mainly affected by the riots.

“Turtle”, directed by Dinesh S Yadav, aims to create awareness for water conservation in the areas affected by water crisis.
This film, which received the best Rajasthani film National Award in 2018, is inspired by the real incident based on water crisis and conservation in the state.
“Turtle” stars Sanjay Mishra, Amol Deshmukh, Teetu Verma, Yash Rajasthani, Ankit Sharma, Ramnath Choudhary and Monica Sharma.

(Jammu) CISF Takes Over Security of J&K Airport
The security of the Srinagar and the Jammu airports have been handed over to the CISF and all police personnel posted there have been called back with immediate effect
All police personnel of executive and armed wings posted at the Jammu and the Srinagar airports are transferred to their respective wings and parent departments immediately
The order stated that gazetted officers who were posted at the twin airports should report to the police headquarters.
However, helipads at Sanjichat and Katra, used for ferrying pilgrims to the cave shrine of Vaishnodevi, would be guarded by Local police personnel only.
For security reasons, 10 police personnel shall remain attached with the Jammu airport and 14 with the Srinagar airport

(Chd,Pb)SAD, AAP Hold Protest Outside Punjab Assembly Over issues related to unemployment and alleged sand and transport mafias in the state.
Members of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) accused the Congress-led government of having “completely failed” in giving jobs to the unemployed youth in the last three years.
“Unemployed youths are seeking replies from Chief Minister Amarinder Singh for not fulfilling promise of giving employment to youth,” claimed SAD leader Parambans Singh Romana ,adding that the government’s ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojana’ has failed.
Protesting Akalis, led by Bikram Singh Majithia and Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, also brought some unemployed youth along with them who were showing their degrees and claiming that they had not got any jobs yet.
The members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by leader of opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, took on the Congress-led government on the issue of alleged mafias in the state.
They alleged that the sand, liquor and transport mafias still continued in the state under the Congress-led regime.
The members of the opposition shouted slogans against the state government.

The President and First Lady Melania Trump are now en route back to Washington, D.C., after a productive and awe-inspiring trip to India this week.
The two-day schedule was packed with both working meetings and visits to cultural landmarks such as the Taj Mahal ,Sabarmati Ashram,,RiverFront etc
President Trump received a roaring welcome from over 100,000 people at a rally and huge crowed at 22 Km Long Roadshow hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Melania and I have been awed by the majesty of India and the exceptional kindness and generosity of the Indian people,” President Trump said. “We’ll always remember the magnificent welcome the citizens of your home state showed us upon arrival.”
Earlier today, the President spoke to reporters about his successful visit and the growing power of the U.S.–India partnership. A few highlights:
On India: “I admire your country tremendously. I respect your Prime Minister tremendously . . . I think that India is going to be a tremendous player [now and] over the next period of 50 years and 100 years.”
On economic opportunity: “We just had a meeting . . . I thought it was a great meeting with some of the biggest businessmen in the world that come from India. They’re agreeing to invest billions and billions of dollars.”
On trade: “We also talked about tariffs because as you know, India is probably the highest-tariff nation in the world, meaning charging tariffs to outsiders. And I said we have to stop that. We have to stop it.”
On the Middle East: “We don’t have to act as a police force. We can act as a military force to win—not a military force to just take care of things in that very, very difficult part of the world.”
As part of President Trump’s talks with Prime Minister Modi this week, India is set to buy more than $3 billion of advanced American military equipment for its troops. A stronger India will boost U.S. efforts to defeat terrorism and drug trafficking worldwide.
The President also teased progress toward a major new trade deal, which would come on the heels of a recent Phase 1 agreement with China and the NAFTA-replacing USMCA.
“We think we’re at a point where our relationship is so special with India,” President Trump said alongside Prime Minister Modi. “It has never been as good as it is right now.”

The death toll in northeast Delhi communal violence over the amended citizenship law rose to 17 on Wednesday, according to GTB Hospital authorities.
On Tuesday, the death toll was 13.
Four bodies were brought to the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital from the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital, taking the death toll to 17

जानमाल के किसी तरह के नुकसान की कोई खबर नहीं है।
भूकम्प विज्ञान विभाग के एक अधिकारी के अनुसार ‘‘ भूकम्प सुबह सात बजकर 58 मिनट पर आया। इसका केन्द्र हिमाचल प्रदेश और जम्मू-कश्मीर सीमाई क्षेत्र चंबा जिले के पूर्वोत्तर में पांच किलोमीटर की गहराई पर था। आसपास के इलाकों में भी हल्के झटके महसूस किए गए।’’
चम्बा सहित हिमाचल प्रदेश के अधिकतर इलाके भूकम्पीय संवेदनशील क्षेत्र में आते हैं।

Tuesday more than doubled the honorarium paid to Muslim clerics and muezzins in the state.
Chief Minister Kamal Nath gave his nod to a proposal to hike the honorarium of imams from Rs 2,200 to Rs 5,000 per month and that of their deputies – muezzins – from Rs 1,900 to Rs 4,500 a month
The hike was suggested by Minister of Minority Affairs Arif Aqueel at the inauguration of a building of the Madhya Pradesh Masajid Committee near the famous Taj-ul Masajid (mosque) here and Nath promptly gave his nod
The committee is a religious institution of the Muslim community.
Imams lead the prayers, while muezzins give calls for prayers.
Service to humanity is the biggest religion. We serve our religions by servicing the needy,” Nath said at the function.

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he discussed the issue of religious freedom with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his comprehensive talks and that the Indian leader wants people to have this freedom. He Refused to Comment on CAA Saying that India is Capable to Deal with it
He also said that talked about his country’s peace deal with the Taliban with Modi, and said that India will like to see it happen.
Addressing a press conference, Trump described Modi as a “terrific” leader and India as a “tremendous country”.
However, when asked if he discussed the violent incidents here during his visit, he said that he didn’t discuss individual attacks with PM Modi and “that is up to India”.
He also said that India is buying a lot of military hardware from the US.
To a question about reports of Russia trying to influence the US presidential poll, he said intelligence agencies never shared such information with him.
