Maha Govt’s Nod is Sought to Reopen Historical Momuments
The places of religious worship in the state have been reopened earlier this week, but the historical monuments are still shut. As a result, those dependent on it for livelihood are facing problems.
Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has sought the Maharashtra government’s permission to reopen historical monuments including the world-famous Ajanta and Ellora caves, which remained shut since March due to the pandemic.
The association of tourist guides and several other stakeholders have earlier written to state government and the local authorities, demanding that the historical sites be reopened for people.

“This will honour the Solemn Sacrifice of all COVID warriors who served selflessly for duty and humanity”:
Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare today announced the Government’s decision to introduce a new category called ‘Wards of COVID Warriors’ in the guidelines for selection and nomination of candidates against Central Pool MBBS seats for the academic Year 2020-21.
The Union Health Minister said that this move aims to dignify and honour the noble contribution made by the COVID Warriors in treatment and management of COVID patient. “This will honour the Solemn Sacrifice of all COVID warriors who served with selfless dedication for the cause of duty and humanity”, he stated.
Central Pool MBBS seats may be allocated for selection and nominations of the candidates from amongst the wards of “COVID Warriors”, who have lost life due to COVID 19; or died accidently on account of COVID 19 related duty.
Reminding everyone that the definition of COVID Warrior has been laid down by Government of India while announcing the insurance package of ₹50 lakhs for them, the Minister said, “COVID Warriors are all public healthcare providers including community health workers, who may have to be in direct contact and care of COVID-19 patients and who may be at risk of being impacted by this.
Five (05) Central Pool MBBS seats have been reserved for this Category for the year 2020-21.

(New Delhi) Idols of Lord Rama+Lakshmana+Sita Ceremoniously Handedover To TN Govt
These idols are the masterpieces of Indian Metal Art and are 90.5 cm, 78 cm, and 74.5 cm in height respectively. Stylistically, these sculptures are dateable to the 13th century AD.
Earlier, on 15th September 2020, these Bronze idols were handed over to High Commission of India in London by Metropolitan Police, London. As per the photo documentation done in 1958, these idols belong to the Sri Rajagopal Vishnu Temple (temple built during the Vijayanagara period) in Anandamangalam in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu. As per the investigation carried out by the Idol wing of Tamil Nadu police these idols were stolen from the Sri Rajagopal Vishnu Temple on 23/24 November 1978.

The Minister said, “Not only in India, our scientists and engineers have provided scientific expertise internationally too for the construction of Kaladan Multimodal Transit Project (Mizoram-Myanmar), Salma Dam (Afghanistan), Tala and Punatsangchu I & II hydel projects (Bhutan)”.
Dr. Harsh Vardhan also unveiled the Logo of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of the Institute. Five agreements between the Institute and various other entities were signed in the presence of the Minister.

भारतीय चुनाव आयोग ने एक पत्र जारी करके भारतीय फि़ल्म इंडस्ट्री के मशहूर अदाकार और प्रोड्यूसर सोनू सूद को पंजाब स्टेट के लिए #स्टेटआइकन नियुक्त करने को मंज़ूरी दे दी है।
पंजाब राज्य के मोगा जि़ले से सम्बन्धित श्री सोनू सूद द्वारा हिंदी, तामिल, तेलुगु, कन्नड, और पंजाबी समेत कई भारतीय भाषाओं में बनी फिल्मों में अपनी अदाकारी का लोहा मनवाया है। श्री सूद द्वारा लोक कल्याण के लिए बहुत कार्य किए जा रहे हैं।
#कोविड काल के दौरान लागू हुए लॉकडाउन के दौरान श्री सूद द्वारा विभिन्न स्थानों पर फंसे प्रवासी मज़दूरों को उनके घर पहुंचाने में बहुत मदद की गई थी, जिसके लिए समाज के सभी वर्गों द्वारा उनकी भरपूर सराहना की गई। इसके अलावा उनकी तरफ से कोविड के दौरान किए गए कार्यों को देखते हुए संयुक्त राष्ट्र डिवैल्पमैंट प्रोग्राम द्वारा उनको एस.डी.जी. स्पैशल ह्यूमनटेरियन एक्शन अवॉर्ड भी दिया गया। इसके अलावा फि़ल्म में किए गए काम के लिए भी अलग-अलग राज्य सरकारों द्वारा भी सम्मानित किया जा चुका है।
